Not quite true I feel. NUS High n SST invites all applicants for 1st round regardless what school or results.
This is based on my observations, talking to friends who are in the industry and feedback from parents.
The first preferred pick will be from that pool. That’s the best way to benchmark or predict PSLE results. No surprises or stressing the secondary school system later on.
For academic domain, only the tests from elite schools are considered. So, if a child is in neighbourhood school, chances are, the school will not be invited for the tests thus no matter how good you are, you will not get past shortlist round. Thus, DSA is irrelevant
because the most reliable means of getting into a good school is based on PSLE results.
Just my thoughts going through this process now. -
My DD received notification on SCGS leadership last week
-
Friend’s kid already attended leadership interview at SCGS yesterday.
-
Thanks for letting me know. Your DD is from SCG primary school?
-
Is it true that
SCGS Secondary tend to give
priority back to their own SCGS primary school girls,
for DSA in Academic domain (Science) ? -
My DD is not from SCG primary. When she was at RGS interview, few of the girls there are going for SCGS as well 😅

Dear Parents,
Anyone with kids received notification for RVGH scientific investigation or elder kids been through the selection process before?
Thanks so much! -
I think it should be RVHS.
Sorry for the confusion. Let me re-type my question here.

RGS English, Math, Science are still crickets?
No horse in any of these races but just wondering. I guess wouldn’t be surprised if they are among the last to fall…
