But 2c quota has increased right ?
Yes, but I've already accounted for that above. There are going to be minimum 20 seats in 2B and 40 seats in 2C. There may or may not be any leftover seats in 2B that get added on to the 40 seats in 2C (2B has consumed 15-23 seats in the last three years).

Hence, I'm not sure the situation is really that different from when it ballot < 1 km in 2020-2021 (30-33 seats available).

But see if others have thoughts.

Wait for some gurus to reply but I would think 1-2 km at Chongzheng may not even get to ballot (in 2C)?

2020 and 2021 the school ballot < 1 km with 30-33 spots available. 2019 ballot 1-2 km with 69 spots available.

Unclear how many spots will be taken up in 2B but spots available in 2C probably won't be more than 50 (and could be as low as 40).
Chongzheng accepts PV, although we won't know how many they have accepted. My guess would be that at least 10 spots will be taken up by PV and GRL, leaving not more than 50 (40 + whatever balance from 2B) for Phase 2C.

With an expanded 1km radius, and Gongshang (within the same 1km) facing similar constraint as well, I don't think 1-2km will stand a chance. Would be best to aim for alternative or plan for 2Cs if you die-die want to bang wall.

Chongzheng 2B applicants ranging from 15 to 23 for the last 4 years.

If we use the lowest which is 15 for 2B, 2C will be left with 45 vacancies. The most recent year with similar vacancies was 2018, and it was balloting within 1km.

So far on record, Chongzheng was a school that required balloting within 1km with the exception of 2016, 2017 and 2019. All 3 years have vacancies of above 64 for the 3 years.

The new rule add some spots to Gongshang, St Hilda and Chongzheng, plus minus 60 in total, but doesn't seem to be able to cover all the applicants within 1km around the area. The new rule better the odds for those within 1km and maybe some lucky ones can go in via 1-2km (more likely Poi Ching).

At the moment, it looks likely Chongzheng will be balloting for those staying within 1km of the school in 2C.

I have tried pv but unsuccessful .
And my add school within 1km only have Changkat, 1-2km are gongshang, chongzheng, Yumin, tampines , East spring , so I only can try for chongzheng under 2c as 2cs are available in East Spring.
I have no choice not I die die wan to bang wall 🤣

Based on the distances quoted, I'd assume Yumin and Tampines are closer than East Spring? You could try for one of those in 2C (would get Yumin although can probably also get it in 2CS) or just stick with Changkat if logistically it is the easiest (not sure if you drive)?

Like the others, I don't think Chongzheng will get out of 1 km. So question is whether you are losing anything by trying a low odds lottery ticket.

Based on what you said, Yumin, Tampines, Tampines North, Junyuan, Angsana, Changkat and East spring all can consider in 2C.

Ultimately, you will decide on your choice, we can only show you what we see.

Other than Changkat (but I didn’t consider this at all😂) the rest are no different , it’s driving distance , yes, I will drive and send my daughter to school . So just try CZ first as there are few choices under 2cs, I don’t want to waste the 2C chance on East spring or yumin, just trying my luck .

Ultimately, if there's no chance for > 1km at CZ in Phase 2C, it's just a wasted opportunity. Schools like Tampines and Junyuan would not be available in Phase 2Cs for SC > 1km, if available at all.

However, if you have pretty much decided on East Spring for your daughter, I wish you luck trying for 0.1% chance.

just noticed that the Vacancy of 2C for Poi ching is around 100+, but chongzheng & gongshang (ard 50) for this year.

seems like chongzheng & gongshang are much more popular than poi ching?
anyone know the reasons ? cause the total vacancy?
