I went for the library sale last year. Someone told me she got a stack of National Geographic magazines for $5 (for the whole stack) - so I went. Didn't find Nat Geo ; but went home with a stack of boys magazines (dated I think 4 years back) - end up DS1 didn't quite like it.

If you are looking for National Geographic, there is quite abit of it at Brash Basah centre, in the second hand bookshop at 3rd storey.

Haha, Hquek, cos u r early to made payment. The queue after 1pm is terrible! We gave up in queue after wasting time to select our books! A friend was there too and queue for 3 hrs and 20mins to be her turn for payment! But there was no queue on Sunday!

To avoid the queue, you just need to make a purchase at the IT session, be it a mouse or keyboard, the wireless ones were very cheap. Then you could make payment for all items at their cash counter.

this morning just bought spiderwick book 4 & 5 each at $3 and one Beyond the Spiderwick book3 at $6 from MPH citylink. all hard cover.


I was told the MPH (citylink) moving sales started from June 1…how come there is no update from our forum?

we must have missed many great books aredi…

perhaps all the books are put at random...so u have to physically search high and low....today i was a bit dizzy searching the books....

Yar the books are all over the place but guess it's becos I was looking for books for younger kids, that's why returned empty-handed

Go to http://www.nlb.gov.sg and then click on Search NLB Catalog (like to find books you want), at the very bottom is a link to recommend books.

To make sure it's the exact title, it's good to have the ISBN on hand (can get from amazon etc).
