      Star, do you still remember usually the FD deposit rate (for as long as you could remember), got much period could beat the 2.5%.
      Many years ago (maybe during 1990+), FD interest rates were more than 3%.

          Fixed deposit good rates now

          HLf 1.98% , 13 mth
          SC 2% for premier cust
          UOB 2% , 15 mth
          I take HLF first , SC mayb next

                SSB returns are better than FD, relatively low risk as well. I would go for it instead of FD.

                  Yes it’s better rate but there is qty ceiling limited
                  It is over sub now. Per person can get max $9500 only if based on this table ?

                    Oh, I didn’t know there’s a quota. Thanks for sharing! I would recommend paying down any loans one may have too, before investing in ssb/FD.

                      1 year deposit rate already 2.4%. More efficient to place a lump sum in deposit than to keep applying for multiple traches of SSB.
