Yeah... it sucks, doesn't it šŸ˜‚
It seems like the more easy MOE makes for parents thanks to the Internet, the less information we all have. :?
Wondering which one feels worse: now where parents have to wait a long time before they know their final odds or last time where some schools put a pit board to indicate their applicant numbers by distance?

The agonizing wait for the 8am SMS to inform them about the ballot results or the anxiety of seeing the other people's balls being drawn one at a time?

It is so sad to see that there is only 1 applicant in the whole of SG wanting to go First Toa Payoh Pri School.

Very likely a PR or foreigner.

Might as well add 1 more class to Pei Chun and CHIJ Toa Payoh and close down First Toa Payoh to save on the teaching resources.

Change name to Pei chun subsidiary - maybe will have better intake.

Oh yuh... I think it was the only school with no change to its 1 applicant. šŸ˜‚
Let's see what the final number is... next week.

it is a reflection of the stratification of education today. I feel it is obvious they are trying out information asymmetry as a way to deal with this... hence lesser ability to plot last min applications and more about committing to one's choices come what may...

Pls see below from MOE website. Good luck

If you have secured a place for your child in an earlier registration phase, you will need to withdraw your place before registering for another school. You will need to email the school that your child has been admitted to, using the same email address provided during the online registration.

We will not process any further online registrations for your child unless you have withdrawn your place, and your child will remain in the school that they had earlier secured a place at. You are to ensure that the child has been successfully withdrawn before submitting another online registration.

If it's email to the school, the school would reply via email to confirm the withdrawal. If no reply, can always call the school to check and to expedite reply.
