Interestingly, we did not apply RI leadership. But we receive a rejection letter as below:


Any parents receive such email without application to the talent domain?

Thank you for your son/ward’s interest in, and application to, Raffles Institution via the 2022 DSA-SEC Exercise.
All applications have been deliberated carefully. However, we regret to inform you that your son/ward has not been shortlisted for the DSA-SEC Interview under Leadership and Character Domain. If he had applied for two talent areas, you would have received another email on the outcome of the second talent area.


If your son/ward is still keen to join us, we would like to encourage him to apply for admission to RI again through the S1 Posting based on his PSLE results. However, please note that should he take up another school’s DSA offer, he will not be eligible to take part in S1 Posting.

My boy received rejection email from RI under “leadership and character” domain. The thing is…. we didn’t even apply it eh? We have received all emails from all the 3 domains / schools we applied… this is the 4th one…. :whut:

We are still in the shortlisting process and will inform applicants via email if they are shortlisted.

Applicants who are not shortlisted for Phase 2 will be informed via email before 13 Aug.

I received the rejection for leadership and character as well although we didn’t apply for that domain.

Same here. Did RI mistakenly use the same template for all unsuccessful applicants irrespective of their domain?

For Science, I received it as “academic domain”, not “leadership”

Was that also a rejection? I hope not but if it was, did it have the same contents?

I suspect they used the same template but forgot to change to the correct domain, i.e. it is a rejection. Oh well.
