When will u let your child know of the DSA outcome?

I thought about it. For me, \"No,\" if it comes before his prelims are done (which is unlikely). But after that, I'll let him know. I think if I don't, his curiosity will be a big distraction and may have a bigger impact on his PSLE.

I feel that the most agonising process would be if kid is being put on wait list. Neither here nor there. Coming onto this topic, i am a bit confuse, when will kid know his WL converted to accepted? My understanding is those on WL still has to go through Sec 1 posting process. So meaning just put the school with dsa wl as one of the 6 choices? Or shld i leave that school which offer WL out from 6 choices? Or the result of WL to accepted will be made know earlier?

Hi. If your child gets a WL and he/she accepts it (i.e. ranks during preference submission in late-Oct/early-Nov), you will find out if the WL is converted (i.e. receive place in school) on PSLE results day in late-Nov. The S1 Option Form will either say a) placed via DSA / do not participate in S1 or b) Unsuccessful / please participate in S1.

I was leaning towards not revealing the outcomes, as either need to manage disappointment or complacency.

You can't hide,

because

your kid will come running to you (parent) and tell u that

his classmates / school mates who have applied for the same, identical DSA school as your kid, have already known the DSA outcome results.
