If that’s the case, to be conservative, shouldn’t someone take 2 humanities instead of Econs or POA or DT or FN if JC is the next level? I understand SS/elective is compulsory.
Yes. This is also why many are saying take a second humanities instead of triple science (especially considering you can only take 2 science at JC and bio isn't really needed for uni entry).

Of course, if you love science and know you can score in the single combined SS + elective humanities, then can give it a go. But your L1R5 is going to be torpedoed if anything goes South in this one class...

MSP (Malay Third Lang) gives you another option (and 2 bonus points if 4 points is not already maxed out via HMT and CCA), but this will not be for everyone (subject may also include more travel if not conducted in-house).

TKGS Is a pure Express Stream school.

If TKGS students are taking Additional Maths, they not allowed to take POA (Principles of Accounts).

POA is offered in some other Secondary schools, where students do Combined Science, eg. students taking COMBINED (Chem + Bio)
        Eg.

In St Anthony Canossian Convent another All Girls Secondary school, if we are to compare another All Girls school,
        since
TKGS herself is an All Girls school

Thought rhe initial explanation from floppy was crystal? Very elementary already. The latest from him with the scoring is even illuminating. It has nothing to do with his arrogance (I don’t think he is arrogant in pointing out the flaw in the first place); he is just merely saying out like it is. Goodness gracious.

Computing is only an \"Applied\" Science subject.

                  Total,
your friend's son only has ONE Humanities subject at SST, that is (Social studies + Elective xx)

                  xx : Humanities

so yah lor, he is risky, if he is weak in either (Social studies or in Elective).

But No, he is Not risky,
if he is strong in both (Social studies And Elective)

Doesn't mean that just because you only take ONE single Humanities, definitely you end up being risky. There are students,
who took only single Humanities and still able to end up with (A1 or A2), in their O level

                        No.

Oh dear. I hope schools offering these subjects would make sure parents and students understood correctly.
