Hi, I have 4 uniform blue shorts (not PE shorts) size 25 to be given away. Knew that there are supply chain issues and not everyone might have purchased enough uniform. Please PM if interested.

If taking hcl, only need to take o level hcl in year 4. If pass, then no need to take cl in year5/6. -

Is there a certain grade requirement to score for O level HCL in year 4 for exemption in year 5 & 6.
Example, need at least A2 for O level HCL etc or just a pass grade, minimum C6 will do? -

not (C6 nor A2),
to clear your HCL ( by end of Sec 4),
regardless of
whether you are a Sec 4 student from the (IP or O-level) track.
YES,
I mentioned \"O level\" here,
because
actually, there are some end of Sec 2 Dunman High (DHS) students here from the IP track -
if they did not do well in IP,
because of own self poor time management juggling 9 subjects on top of their Cca school commitments or
family issue(s) or
addiction to something or
some other problems that crop out in their Secondary school time,
they will be identified out by DHS school management at the end of their Sec 2, \"routed\" out to sit for O-level exam.
Otherwise,
if failed above condition (requirement of minimum D7),
then
it is compulsory to continue taking H1 (Chinese) in Junior College (1st year), if u pick and select JC (Dunman High school ) tertiary path (non-Polytechnic route).

2)
Different IP schools got different requirement. Another SAP Secondary school behaved, differently.
For Hwa Chong -
their lowest defined grade to clear Sec 4 HCL is ....
\"B3\", not D7.
So,
if Sec 4 HCI students failed to get minimum \"B3\", Sorry, then they will still need to continue studying H1 (Chinese), in JC (1) or what they call, Year 5 (IP).
Am I right,
all you, Sec 4 students (boys) from Hwa Chong ?
( please shout aloud to clarify, if I am wrong. Thank you)
Not sure,
if Sec 4 Nanyang Girls High HCL clearance, is also the same requirement (expectations), as their Sec 4 Hwa Chong (HCL) counter-parts ?

3)
Another All-Girls SAP Secondary school (St Nick) -
to clear Sec 4 HCL,
the minimum requirement is easy lah -
D7.
I believed many Sec 4 HCL students should not have problem, clearing \"D7\", after immersed yourself 4 long years' time exposed to \"Higher Chinese\", from Sec 1 to Sec 4.
(since Dunman High herself is an SAP school, I only compared DHS with other like-minded SAP schools) -

if D7 for exemption to take chinese in year 5 and 6 for dunman high i think should be quite manageable since the kids have been taking higher chinese for 4 years
by the way, can anyone kindly share the route to walk from Mountbatten MRT to dunman high? I checked the map and it seems like a long long walk to the gates. is there a shortcut that the kids take by passing through some specific HDB blocks to get to school if walking from mrt and also some route kids usually take if its raining heavily and they have some shelter if walking to school from Mountbatten mrt -

Hi, anyone can kindly share the route your child is taking to go to school? thanks much !
(1) take a 10-15 mins walk from Mountbatten MRT station (via Jalan Batu Market & Food Centre to the DHS back gate which is opposite Performance Motors (East Coast Centre)
OR
(2) take bus 158 from the bus stop near Mountbatten MRT station to the bus stop opposite DHS main gate.
I suggest you try the routes with your child during the Nov/Dec school holidays. -

By the way for wet weather conditions, in event of heavy rain etc. the best route will be by 158 ?
Or is there any covered walkway at DHS back gate too linking to the HDB flats ? Thanks ! -

Unfortunately, both routes do not have completely covered walkways. If it rains heavily, your child can alight at either the main gate or take bus/walk to the bus stop (one stop from Mountbatten Station Exit B) opposite Jalan Batu Market & Food Centre -> cross overhead bridge to the food centre & HDB blocks -> DHS.
Thanks for sharing ! will try it out

For the latter, the path from MRT station all the way to the HDB block behind DHS has covered walkways. The last stretch from that HDB block to the back gate does not have though. The distance, I think, is about the same as the walk when you alight at the main gate. Most DHS students prefer to take to main gate though.
