Same here , my side only these two brands
Our first choice is still Song-he , Guess this item can’t replace other with brand yet 😛
cooking oil is rice bran , soy sauce is kuan Xiang tai - my mum insist too
Same, same. DH come fr a family that place value on good quality food, other things can be less but things we put into our stomach must not play play type. So, when I had my overseas posting, I shipped SongHe & those movers kinda laughed at me, not u’stand’g why I’ve to go to the extent. Haiz!

When times are really hard, they will have to adapt. It just hasn't happened yet.

global famine ... coming soon. Global means, will hit Singapore shore too.

Price of basic food essentials, will sky rocket. If one cannot find rice, got to eat other substitute, for survival

If they're really hungry, they'll eat.

I buy only 5kg packs. Same also Songhe or Royal Umbrella. 5kg pack can last us over a month. We do not eat much rice and now with only dinner at home plus many times when this or that person will not be home for dinner, rice consumption has gone down.

I tend not to cut expenditure on food and don’t look out for promos on groceries, well maybe only look out for promos in ice cream. Don’t think I will switch to cheaper brands or from fresh to frozen either as, at this moment, we can still afford our usual brands and fresh foods despite the price increases.

Dd saw the packaging and asked me if those really fresh milk..I say yes..it says so mah 😓

NTUC milk is 950ml, not 1 litre. So must calculate per 100 ml to compare apple to apple with other brands. I am disappointed that NTUC has to resort to this tactic.
