Thanks for sharing ! will try it out 🙂

By the way for wet weather conditions, in event of heavy rain etc. the best route will be by 158 ?

Or is there any covered walkway at DHS back gate too linking to the HDB flats ? Thanks !
Unfortunately, both routes do not have completely covered walkways. If it rains heavily, your child can alight at either the main gate or take bus/walk to the bus stop (one stop from Mountbatten Station Exit B) opposite Jalan Batu Market & Food Centre -> cross overhead bridge to the food centre & HDB blocks -> DHS.

For the latter, the path from MRT station all the way to the HDB block behind DHS has covered walkways. The last stretch from that HDB block to the back gate does not have though. The distance, I think, is about the same as the walk when you alight at the main gate. Most DHS students prefer to take to main gate though.

Also to add - junior high classes are nearer to the back gate (ie hdb blocks) while senior high classes are nearer to the front gate (ie bus 158).

                hi parents,

DS going yr 3 in next year and would like to ask if the criteria for the scholarship for the 双语 thingy is strictly by merit/grades + clearing the interview right? is there a minimum grade for the HCL he must attain? or min GPA

Also may i ask is the subject combination below possible/ achievable? or is it too heavy?

Knowing how to get through lessons and life doesn’t come naturally, so Dunman High School’s Teo Joo Cheong designed a learning model to guide his students’ way.

For BSP scholarship please refer to https://www.moe.gov.sg/financial-matters/awards-scholarships/programme-scholarships

Also check with your DS for the BSP Info Sheet emailed to all Yr2 students.

This is subjective, varies from person to person. You know your DS best. Ask him how he feels and find out his thoughts.

Hi parents or students from DHS, do you have any recommendation for Science and maths enrichment that is more inclined toward DHS students for Y2.

School starts at 8am or a little later on Monday-Thursday and 9am on Friday.
Dismissal time gets later as you age, it's usually in the mid-afternoon.
No specific CCA day, depends on the CCA itself (once, twice or thrice a week).
From 2023 onwards, school starts at 8am every day. Mon & Tue – full uniform. Wed – DHS polo T-shirt or full uniform. Thur & Fri – DHS T-shirt (not CCA or class designed ones) or full uniform. DHS will review the school attire policy from time to time.

Also school year starts from 9 Jan 2023 and ends at 3 Nov 2023 to align JH timing with that of SH.
