Is it possible for children who are currently doing IP in another school to transfer to SJI Visual Arts in Yr 5? Anyone has experience or knowledge on this?

Thanks Zac Mum. But this DSA seems to be for kids in Sec 4 Express. If kid in Sec 4 IP in another school, not sure if possible to do DSA. Never explored before as just thought about it when I saw this thread.

A2. I am presently an Integrated Programme (IP) student in another school; am I eligible to take part in
            DSA-JC (Year 5) exercise?
IP students who were admitted through the DSA-Sec exercise will not be eligible to take part in the DSA-JC
exercise. DSA-Sec students are expected to honour their DSA commitment and are required to complete
their junior college education in their current IP School.
IP students who were posted to the IP school via PSLE results will only be eligible to take part in the DSA-JC
exercise if there are extenuating circumstances for their application as they are strongly encouraged to
complete and benefit from the customized 6-year IP of their current school. Please seek the advice and
guidance from your current school before making such an application. Your application forms will not be
accepted unless you enclose written document from your current School Principal and the Ministry of
Education that they have no objection to your application.

Are there any difference(s) in the way (style / manner),

              where

IB (SJI) teach these 2 subjects (Chemistry and Maths)

              Vs.

IB (ACSI) teach these 2 subjects (Chemistry and Maths),

              to their
              Year (5 and 6) cohort ( students ) ?

                Comparing IB to A-level

                ===================

What’s the best (optimal) way, to find out the differences,
                between

                SJI ( IB )
                two subjects (Chemistry and Maths)

                Vs.

                UK-A-level two subjects
                (Chemistry and Maths) ?

( since both IB and UK-A-level are much simpler, easier to study, compared to our
                more difficult, challenging, tougher
                Singapore-SEAB-modified-upon-A-level exam syllabus)

                  For year 5 intake -

                  1)
SJI-IB has a lower Cut off point, than ACSI-IB ?

                  2)
Is the SJI-IB intake, smaller than that of ACSI-IB intake ?

I think the only people who can truly answer these questions objectively are the tutors who have a large number of students from both schools and teachers who have access to teaching materials and methods of both schools. Any student will only have experience in either ACSI and SJI and parents' impression can only be based on others' input which in itself may not be that useful unless the parents are experts in the 2 subjects to begin with.

Will a lower sec1/2 student with overall results around 75 stand a good chance to be awarded with ESIS, which is eligible for the top 10% of the school cohort? Understand this depends on the cohort performance, is there any past experience to share from parents?
