@Nina24, my DD talked about the inside of the turkey not being able to gain heat that fast. Is it necessary to talk about it being \"poor conductor of heat\"? It is a 1m question, so how are the marks distributed here..? Anyone?

Same. A few kids were hesitant saying turkey is a poor conductor of heat. They were taught materials are poor conductors of heat but food ? Uncommon

I believe this is the concept behind the turkey question: The poor poultry thermal conductivity is why the outer layer of the turkey will reach the fully cooked temperature, while the internal meat will still be cool.


I don’t think that our kids have learnt about this before… This year’s Science paper was quite challenging…

Hello everyone, congratulations to all the parents and kids who are done with the PSLE. My son took it last year, he and some of his friends who saw some of the maths questions this year said this year was easier then last year where they had the famous Harry and the coins questions 😂

I think “poor conductor of heat” and “rate of heat gain” are key words.
