mine said that for the portion on point 2, it was mentioned in the question that air can enter the tube, so its not dying because lack of oxygen.
From what my dd described, the question shows a man taking a dump outdoors. There is a tube from the waste to a container and the diagram mentions gases passing thru the tube into the container. Question asks
1. Why are mosquitos attracted to the waste?
2. When mosquitos go thru the tube to the container, why don't they survive?
3. Name another living thing that produces the same type of gas and what is the process called?
From the above questions and the fact they mentioned gases... I think the gas they talking about here is Co2. Mosquitos are attracted to Co2, when they go thru the tube, there is no oxygen in container so they die. Living thing that produces Co2 is animal/plant through respiration process.
That's what I think... dunno correct or not! -
May I ask HMT compo questions and the overall paper difficulty?

A sister brought back a letter and passed it to me ……. Complete the story
May I ask HMT compo questions and the overall paper difficulty?
He said paper was manageable and comprehension relatively easy. Which is strange cos he said the normal Chinese comprehension was tough.
He said the paper was easier than Science. That makes me very worried about Science now. -

My DS said that HMT was quite manageable. He seemed happy with the compo topic. Felt confident that he was able to write and answer the other Qs.
May I ask HMT compo questions and the overall paper difficulty?
Then again, I think the euphoria of completing the PSLE has overwhelmed him. So, I wouldn't take his confidence too seriously at this stage. It's just a relief that this is over

Do not be surprised that your son might score high marks for this paper. Usually this HMT is the last paper and has the least bearing to overall AL means that every load on the shoulders from the past few days is taken off and this uplifting spirit can do wonders. The paper, in reality, is difficult can suddenly become easy.

I hope that can be said for all of the HMT students out there. I'm sure they were all eager to wrap up the PSLE and felt that the paper was just as manageable. It's a pity that some (my DS included) didn't feel as confident with MT but such is life, I guess
