[Sembawang] Primary Schools

Hi everyone…

My elder girl is going to P1 next year. Just wondering if there are any updates or info on the schools around Sembawang.
Am inclined towards Endeavour because many parents there are happy with the school etc… but now, some parents say that with the new principal at Canberra, things are better… also heard Sembawang Primary is ok etc.
Help!?

Any feedback on the teachers? Is the turnover rate high? I think this is a fairly new school, right?

Hi Wesim,

I am not sure about the turnover rate of the teachers. But I must say my boy has been lucky enough to have responsible teachers since P1. He is in P3 now. His form teacher goes on course every Thurs and Fri, but she makes sure the class has sufficient work to do during those 2 days and she conducts supplementary classes for them weekly.

I believe in every school, there willl be a mixture of teachers with different attitude and passion for teaching.

I think the school is about 10 year old.

Endeavour Primary takes lessons online to cut book load for pupils


SINGAPORE : Endeavour Primary School is moving more of its classes online to cut the bag load that pupils lug to school.

The school at Sembawang said the use of computers also allows teachers to develop creative teaching tools.

For example, students can record passages of Chinese classics and upload them onto a blog.

Endeavour Primary was started in 2008, and was officially opened on Friday by Law Minister K Shanmugam.

It has seen enrolments climb from 280 in 2008 to 1,040 this year. - CNA /ls
