I don’t care for any direct mapping or analysis.

But since you have a practical reason for asking, may I refer u to this compilation below. You can zoom in on your schools of interest and see both the T score and AL score. Somebody happened to compile both together in the transition year:

Thank you. This is very useful.

Hi. Couple of thoughts. First, I think once you have the actual score you will have a better sense of where the child is likely to qualify for and then it is unlikely you will go past the third or fourth choice. One of the main differences vs. t-score is that often there isn't much benefit from putting multiple schools at the same AL level in your choices. I.e. in the past you could put three or four (say) low-250s t-score schools in a row and one of them would likely pick you up. Because each AL band includes more students, there is some risk that if you ballot out of the first ALX school, you may miss all subsequent ALX schools due to choice order then being part of the tie-breaker (not strictly true depending on the specific schools involved, but it happened to a few people last year).

Second, I think the actual AL COPs from last year are as good as anything. They may move +/- 1 based on cohort performance, DSA intake, and choice preferences, but I don't think they will move all that much.

        Good luck!
Thank you for your thoughts. I definitely will factor this in. And choose and rank our choices carefully. And I won't have multiple schools with the same AL cut off after what you shared. Thanks again. Very practical help.

Hi wana ask if anybody had experience with the Mindstretcher jumpstart sec 1 webinar? Like for your older children perhaps? Or maybe if you’ve heard any reviews on it? How is it like and if it’s helpful? Thanks.

Sec 1 is usually the honeymoon year for students, sweetened by the fact that there is no Mid-Year exam. Have regular chats with your child once they start school about their school life (academic/non-academic) and if they really need help on a particular subject, then look for tuition (or consultation with subject teacher first).

While there are kids attending tuition after PSLE, I think it will only be helpful if the child is weak on the subject and the teacher is really good.

                    Dear parents,

appreciate if you can spend a little time to read this annual initiative on used resources

Received this from my DD's parent support group - I think this is their second time this year, they are covering the 4 foreign languages at MOELC (French Jpn Spanish German). Sharing in case anyone is interested. Thought it was quite good last year, it's free.

What was the AL cut-off last year to be offered these four 3rd languages?
