Dear Experts,
Seeking advice if i should sign up for PV for 2024 P1 registration (2018)
In order of preference
1) Alexandra Pri (1-2km)
2) Queenstown Pri (1km) to ensure a more guaranteed in at Phase 2B.
Unfortunately in my area Dawson area, there are only these 2 schools to pick.
Prefers Alexandra, but it looks very popular and it has MK, which i did not sign up because it is not exactly very convenient for me.
Also did not check if the schools will offer PVs to me, else i am left at Phase 2C option for Choice 2, which i am concerned if there is an odd chance that i might be balloted out.
Any advice would be appreciated. Many thanks -

You are right about APS popularity. If you do not apply to PV for Alexandra, you will, realistically, have no chance in Phase 2C since APS will ballot for SC < 1km. If that’s the case, you only have Queenstown which is likely to be a safe bet for SC < 1km.

My only advice is you should apply to at least APS and probably a few others < 2km (use https://www.onemap.gov.sg to check) if you are already preparing for P1). There is no guarantee that APS (or any schools) will accept you as PV. If that's the case, you can apply to Queenstown in Phase 2C. -
My child is going P1 in 2025. We have bought a new unit with TOP on 2025 and Expected Vacant Possession on 2027 - within 1km of the school we have in mind. Was intending to put the new unit address as PV application address (even though IC is of current different address) - will this be okay, anyone has past experience on this?
also any implication to Phase 2B/C, how strict do they follow IC address? we do have evidence of purchase of new unit and address -
Hi sorry parents, to clarify … if i do PV and failed in phase 2B? then i will have to choose a second school at phase 2C?
Also can i do PV for 2 schools? -

You can do PV for 2 schools :-

Also can i do PV for 2 schools?
1) if you have been selected by both schools successfully first, for PV.
Depending on which primary school it is, sometimes, the application for PV can be very competitive !
2) if you have the time available on hand, to commit PV to completion in both schools, until you have fulfilled their number of hours clocked required to their satisfaction, in each school.
Bear in mind that,
PV is NO guarantee to enter the primary school, in the event of balloting taking place. If balloting failed at Phase 2B, Yes, then you move on next to Phase 2C, to register your child. -
It makes little sense to do PV for more than 1 school because when it finally comes to selection, you are only allowed to bid in 1 school though you PVed in multiple schools! So unless you are saying you will wait and see what the condition is for Phase 2B before bidding on the final day, well, that will leave you with little room to maneuver.

Dear Parents,
Currently i am staying in CCK and will like my only girl to attend Nan Hua Primary School in year 2025 which is in Clementi.
May i check if i am allow or selected for PV program and if i am still under Phase 2B if my distance from Nan Hua Primary is >2km to my current residential.
TIA

The likelihood of you being selected for PV is low as you are > 2km from the school.

Even if selected, you won’t stand a chance as Nan Hua ballot for SC < 1km in Phase 2B.
