Sometimes I prefer to wear a mask because others cannot see my facial expression. I may laugh when I think my colleagues are doing stupid things but they cannot see and not aware that I am laughing.[/quote]
Wah skill. How to laugh with only the lower part of your face and not for it to show in your eyes?

I have a RBF but when I smile it definitely shows in my eyes.

Take care. Try manuka and increase vit C dosage?

When I continued to be quite unwell despite being ART negative daily, I went for PCR voluntarily for my own peace of mind. Know people who did that too.

Until the PCR result was out, I followed the protocols as if am infected.
Thank you for yr adv. Ya, I forgot abt Manuka. Laughingcat always advised that. It that’s why I refrain fr going out. In fact, I was wearing my mask at home & isolated in my bedroom on Monday till my family laughed at me for over worrying when my test kit showed negative by 2nd day.

I am wearing a pair of spectacles with thick short sighted lens and people cannot see my eyes clearly. :imcool:

Covid was just starting in 2019 so those early Wuhanese probably didn't know of the disease so I don't think it's fair to blame them. But 3 years after the disease, people SHOULD know how easily spread it is and they should be responsible enough to take precautions not to spread it if they have unfortunately caught it. Sadly, this is not the case.

Speaking of masks, I think I'm developing a mask allergy! I keep sneezing and my nose and eyes start watering whenever I had to go to teach in SIM. No, I'm not having covid but it sure seems I am 🙂 It's just that the masks trigger my allergy response especially if I have to talk in my mask. Take off my mask and I am fine after about 30mins. Weird huh?
If I recall correctly (I might be wrong since my brain is aging fast!), MOH alr issued protocols & they were caught & dealt with. Can’t rmbr the details. My brain is foggy now.

My nose & eyes feels exactly like yr description of allergies. Still not positive but kept sneezing & throat raspy. Thankfully I still hv our Oralsy to relieve the throat. I’m running out of NeilMed salt. Getting DS to do a clinic run.

Think the normal flu bug is doing its rounds as well. DS was just down with sorethroat and fever. Lasted like 3 days and now chesty cough. Can hear that it’s quite congested. He tested negative throughout. So Manuka honey, strepsils, panadols for those 3 days. Now got him cough syrup with expectorant to loosen and clear the phelgm.

DD has also been coughing and sneezing last week but tested negative throughout as well think hers is more likely allergies.

Younger sis and her kids were down with flu the previous week too. All negative.

Oh yes... I've suffered that fate more than once but I'm glad to spare others my misery 🙂

Pp in tour groups have to be prepared to break from the group and isolate in whatever city/town they are visiting when they fall ill. If they’ve tested themselves +ve when they are in a small town or city, they have to ask themselves: do I want to wait for a day more, i.e. get to the next bigger city before revealing to the guide; or do I want to be forthright and isolate in that City X asap, maybe with one of my next of kin to accompany me?

The Singapore guide will take the rest of the tour group to the next city, while the local city guide (i.e. the EU-licensed fella) will stay behind to assist that isolated member at City X, and guide him to the nearest international airport to take the flight back to SG after his isolation in City X hotel.

It’s simply impossible to rejoin the tour group after your recovery, as your tour group would have crossed border to another country/city in EU. As they commute by coach, they usually stay in 3-star hotels along the highways or in city outskirts, so you’d need to figure how to meet them after recovering from Covid. I suppose you can rejoin them, if you’re very street-smart and without a vulnerable in tow.

The next-of-kin who stays behind to accompany that Covid+ person cannot claim insurance. Even that C+ person cannot claim now, because Covid in EU no longer requires quarantine, unless you are so sick that you must be hospitalised. You can even loiter around the City X during your self-imposed/socially responsible act of isolation, and no one in EU will care.

The best solution is you stay N95 masked up and sit at the back of the coach throughout and eat at a separate table, with everyone’s consent! Ideally everyone is jabbed with bivalent vaccine or has recovered from C before in that group, else don’t even think of travelling in a large tour group!

                        Hi zeit,

                        Last time, years ago,
for local undergraduates who wish to join Europe tour, they can join KenAir tour group. But since KenAir has closed down, is there an equivalent similar tour group for uni undergrads, to tour Europe ? Is it called Trafalgar Square or something like that ? The students will stay in motel, not hotel (something like that). Thanks, for info
