My gal got AL15(D), do y'all think she will still stand a chance to go AHS Express 12(P)?

Is it good choice for below order on east side?
AHS 12
Temasek Sec 13
TKSS 14
St Hilda 15
GMS 15

Just to add-on, with AL15(D), do you have any recommendation in east area? We are moving to Punggol in 2024, and my gal will be in sec 2 by that time, should we choose the school in punggol area at this moment?

Hi All,
Any idea how MOE allocates Malay Special Programs? My son is offered MSP on top of 3rd language options.
My daughter who did better than his brother 2 years ago in PSLE was not offered MSP

MSP is offered if you have not taken Malay or Higher Malay at PSLE and if you get AL 24 or better. This is from the moe website.

But my 2 older girls were never offer MSP though they were from the T-score era. Based on AL system my older kid should be around AL8-9 whereas now my son scored AL11 is offered MSP

“MSP is one of the Ministry of Education’s 3rd language programme. It used to be a Programme that is offered only to the top 30% of the PSLE cohort but has been expanded to anyone with the interest and inclination to do so beginning year 2006.”


“MSP Lesson is held once a week, 3 hours per lesson. The programme will prepare pupils for the MSP examination at GCE 'O' Level.“

For your son, AL 24 or better and no Malay/Higher Malay at PSLE, hence eligible for MSP.

You can try looking at your 2 daughters eligibility letters.

During t score time, it was common knowledge that if one didnt make it for sec HMT, they would try to take MSP / CSP to get the 2 bonus points.

Hi and congrats. The choices you have seem fine; try for RGS and if unlucky will get SNGS or CGSS.

Essentially your 1 ) & 2) choices are wasted la.

I will only gamble from TKSS onwards. Variance is +-1 only. Remember that….
