If NYGH -1, would SNGS IP +1? It seems these two choices are closely linked, most in this category will choose and end up in either.


Anyone still has the 2021 simulated cop based on 2020 choices?

My daughter got AL8 D and we stay in Tampines.

Would it be wise to put Dunman High (2021 COP AL8 D) first, following by TJC (AL8 D) and Anglican High (AL11)?

Finally my DD decided this plan:

AL 8
Eligibility: HMTL and MSP as 3rd lang

1. SCGS IP COP’21=8
2. CHIJ SNGS O lev COP’21=9(M)
3. SCGS O lev COP’21=8
4. CHIJ TPY COP’21=10
5. St Margaret’s COP’21=11
6. Paya Lebar MGS COP’21=11

So to summarise, your daughter is concerned about jc affiliation.
This list above, scgs o level has no jc affiliation. No issue with scgs, it is a good school, just pointing it out to her in case she thinks otherwise.

For 4 points deduction, she can take get 2 points from HCL/MSP, and 2 points from CCA. So she may not need the jc affiliation points. Unless her concern is about religion affiliation, not about the 2 points.

I would really slot Crescent Girls in, and with 2 points from hcl/msp and 2 points from cca, that would be 4 points max that somehow else pointed out that it would be 4 points off any jc. Vs the 2 points for jc affiliation that applies to specific jc. Imagine you go to Smss and end up with 14 points, minus 4 is 10, you cant get in sajc also, and then you will be a 12 for other jcs, and you end up in another jc. Of course, you can also end up with 6 A1s. Just pointing out scenarios.

If so, I will put Zhonghua at number 6.

Not sure what you mean by the -1, +1. Both were 7(M) simulated, 2021 actual 7(D) and 7(P).

Thanks! Indeed, TJC is not SAP but offers IP. Any feedback on TJC? Any other recommendations for mixed sec schs in the east?

Your daughter should be eligible to do IP
You can insert TJC (COP or DHS (COP or SCGS IP (COP as your 2nd or 3rd choice. Followed by St Nic O, Cedar O and Nan Chiau as your 4th-6th choice
