Your daughter should be eligible to do IP
Dear all, my girl got AL 7 (M)
Can give advise for the following school choices,
1. St Nicholas IP (COP 7P)
2. Cedar IP (COP
3. St Nicholas O (9M)
4, Cedar O (5-9)
5. Nan Chiau (12D)
6. not sure
Any advise, thank you[/quote]
You can insert TJC (COP
or DHS (COP
or SCGS IP (COP
as your 2nd or 3rd choice. Followed by St Nic O, Cedar O and Nan Chiau as your 4th-6th choice

Your choices look good, and are a popular combo among those in the East. DHS and TJC (AL8, as noted by others) may need to ballot. If unlucky, AHS (note, was AL12(P) last year) will definitely catch her.
hi
My daughter got AL8 D and we stay in Tampines.
Would it be wise to put Dunman High (2021 COP AL8 D) first, following by TJC (AL8 D) and Anglican High (AL11)?
Thank you for your advice.
One other option is CCHM at AL11(M). I think travel time would be similar to that of DHS, but longer than that of AHS.
Good luck! -

Thank you! Yes, we went to CCHM open house and found it was very Chinese, probably more so than DHS. We will visit DHS and Anglican this weekend.

Thanks so much for the advice.
Is this a north east selection?
If so, I will put Zhonghua at number 6.
Everything else looks good.
I stay in Ang Mo Kio.
Unsure of the risk of putting St Nicholas IP as the first choice -

I have checked SCGS and would consider if I put SCGS IP or St Nicholas IP as the first choice.
Personally, I like St Nicholas as stays near by.
What would you recommend?
Thank you very much. -

Seems OK. Note, I think Kuo Chuan was AL12 last year. If take out, is there anything else you would pick in the AL16-AL17 just as a bit more safety? I think it should be fine as is (two schools with +2) but others may suggest the last choice be a bit more conservative just in case. Anyways, good luck and hope she will get her first choice, TKGS!
My dd AL13
Our choices:
1) TKGS 13
2) Kuo Chuan 13
3) Presbyterian High 13
4) Chij katong 15
5) Geylang Methodist 15
6) Tanjong Katong sec 14
Appreciate any feedback and advice. Thank you -
Hi everyone! Seeking your kind comments and help for selection. DD scored AL11. Wanted to go to Yusof Ishak due to the new school campus. Any comments for YISS? Also, any good recommendations for schools in North East area? Thanks!

This is a good plan.
Finally my DD decided this plan:
AL 8
Eligibility: HMTL and MSP as 3rd lang
1. SCGS IP COPโ21=8
2. CHIJ SNGS O lev COPโ21=9(M)
3. SCGS O lev COPโ21=8
4. CHIJ TPY COPโ21=10
5. St Margaretโs COPโ21=11
6. Paya Lebar MGS COPโ21=11
(Btw I saw someone posted Paya Lebar MGS COP is 13, where did u get this from?)
Is this a realistic plan? :imcool: :boogie:
Please comment thank you ๐๐
Really appreciated
However, https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=92233&start=1470#p2089835, I would slot in Crescent Girls' (and / or TKGS) before I get to CHIJ TP / SMSS / PLMGS. While the 3 schools are reputable schools, in terms of the overall students' quality, CGS (PSLE score range: 5 - 11) or TKGS (8 - 13) would be more consistent than CHIJ TP (5 - 20), SMSS (6 - 20) and PLMGS (8 - 20). Just my personal preference and opinion. -

7m is a better grade than 7p, so no issue with St Nicholas IP as first choice.
Thanks so much for the advice.

If you need to put something else in the 1-3, instead of Zhonghua at 6 since you are at amk and not northeast, I would go with njc, I dont know know what is the cop though.
So 1-3, St Nicholas IP, Cedar IP, NJC, in any order you like.
Then 4-6, St Nicholas O, Cedar O, Nan Chiau, in any order you like. -

Thank you! I didnโt realize Kuo Chuan was 12. I will find a school with cop 16. Cross fingers for TKGS!
