It was really a big swing for me. Esp science. From AL1-AL5
Did you appeal or asked the school? Seems a big drop for 1 subject.

Oh dear, I'm so sorry to hear that 😞 Hopefully, your child will not let this overwhelm him or her.
My dd is in a SAP school. Top 10% in cohort and top 3 in class every year. We could not accept it. We requested for review.

The only reason I can think of is MCQ answer shade wrongly on OAS.

              Dear All Masters,

My DD got AL8, no HCL, citizenship: others
              Eligibility: HMTL, MSP 3rd lang
Intended CCA: string (cello/violin) but NVM πŸ˜„

Need advices on final choices: :?:
              1. CHIJ SNGS O level 4(M)-9(M) *proximity
              2. RVHS IP 4(D)-9(M) *only IP within range
              3. MGS O level 4-8 *affiliation, just filler
              4. CHIJ TPY 7-10 *proximity
              5. St Margaret 8-11 *uniform LOL πŸ˜…
              6. Crescent Girl 5-11 *distance, so put no 6

What is her chance to get one of these 6 sch?
90% or lower? LOL hikssss can’t sleep since wednesday pls help :frustrated: 😒 :imdrowning:
Good chance to get into SNGS or RVHS, otherwise a very good chance (90%) to be in CHIJ TPY.

Not sure what you meant by MGS affiliation ... do you mean its affiliation to ACJC?

              All the best.

Hi my dd got 14M her choices are as below:

                1. NCHS 12(D)
                2. TKGS 13
                3. TKSS 14
                4. St Joseph Covent 14
                5. St Hilda sec 15
                6. Geylang Methodist 15

Do u think she has a chance to go TKSS if the first 2 fails? Thanks
Will be safer if you have at least 1 or 2 choices of COP 16 to 17.

                All the best.

Neighborhood school in the north but a popular one. Not GEP.
Happy for your child, it must be a pleasant surprise.

Hope you will have a successful outcome.

Do encourage her to keep up her good efforts. There will be chance for school transfer in Sec 2/3. She can also choose her choice schools after O-levels.

                    All the best.

Advice please. My girl got 13pts. Her choices are as follows:

                      1. TKGS (13)
                      2. St Theresa Convent (13)
                      3. Katong Convent (15)
                      4. St Joseph Convent (14)
                      5. Xinmin (14)
                      6. Holy Innocent (15)

Is that quite safe? She wants TKGS. St Margs was another one she wanted but she didn't make the COP (11)
For 2nd choice onwards, just arrange according to her preference.

Should be fine but if you want to be very safe, have one choice of COP 16.

Hope she gets into TKGS. All the best.

                        Hi fellow parents,

My DD got AL7 with HCL Distinction. We are SC. May I ask if the choices below are safe:

                        1. NYGH
                        2. MGS IP
                        3. SCGS IP
                        4. NJC
                        5. RVHS
                        6. SNGS (or Nan Hua)

Her preference is to go for independent schools. NJC seems more focused on Maths and Sciences, while my DD is stronger in languages.
SNGS is far away from our home. We live in the West. RVHS is nearest by distance. Appreciate for your kind advice. Thank you.
                        1. NYGH 7D
                        2. MGS IP 7
                        3. SCGS IP 8
                        4. NJC 7
                        5. RVHS 9M
                        6. SNGS (or Nan Hua)

Should be fine. It is highly likely she will get into one of the first 5 choices. Since she prefers Indep school and SNGS is far away, why not consider MGS O-level or SCGS O-level for the 6th choice (or 4th choice unless she prefers IP track)?

                        All the best.
