So it is the same for everyone. Only when one made an amendment then will receive sms or email or both. That means if I make any change I too will receive sms.
Okey Dokey. Thanks @kaisuism & @zac's mum. I didn't think that the DSA would impact the submission confirmation but I'm glad that this clears the air.

      :thankyou:

All things considered, I feel ALX +/- 2 or 3 (Total Score) is a reasonable range of outcomes for most students (not saying all students will fluctuate this much, but I don’t think it is a crazy outlier either). This is irrespective of where X is (subject to the boundary constraints).

And yes, the posting outcomes will be different on one end of the range vs. the other end. But if we just accept that, it will take a lot of pressure of the child.

          Hi all!

Need advise on IP or IB school. My DD got AL6M, not sure shall put NJC at first or MGS at first choice, debate bt IP and IB. Can't decide on this and yet to submit online. My DD said NJC, but I think MGS better? will go to ACSI for last 2 years and IB in ACSI is pretty good?
I will go for MGS IB!

If you look at ACSI IB performance, they produce many top scorers. If given a chance, please quickly grab. If you look at NJC’s A levels results, it’s not as impressive

Presentation is a soft skill which your daughter can pick up subsequently

Need advice on unsuccesful DSA students,

is there any benefit/advantages for these students to choose the unsuccesful DSA schools on S1 posting? (COP’21 =8(D) my DD got AL8)

Or better chance to go RVHS COP’21= 9(M) ?

Last 2 hrs here we go ….. 😝🙏

No advantage. But it is a school that they are more familiar after going through the DSA process.

I know of quite many students who were unsuccessful in their DSA and eventually entered via PSLE results.

For your case, the chance of getting into a 8D school is small but if it is her dream school, then put as first choice. I think there is a good chance of her getting into RVHS in 2nd choice (and higher chance if she put as first choice) so if she likes RVHS and doesn't mind forgoing the small chance of 8D school, then put RVHS as first choice.

                All the best.

There is a Verification Slip Page with the submitted school choices and instructions to \"Please print a copy for future reference\".

Should be fine as long as you keep this printed copy.

                  All the best.

Hi. Agree that you should, as far as possible, go with your DD's wishes. That said, would suggest that you consider which system is more suitable for your DD. At the risk of over-generalising, IB system is suitable for those who are more consistent all-year round, with lots of projects, etc. For those who are less hardworking & tend to \"chiong\" towards the end, the A levels may be less stressful (for the child & the parents, esp. from having to constantly cajole/nag/scold the child).

We went through that deliberation process last year.

All the best & congrats on your DD's excellent score!
The A level system now is much more stressful than our era...A level now is for the more consistent students. Just to share my DD with net L1R5 is studying like never before even after end of j1 term like now. To get a stellar A level results cannot idle for the 1.5 years and chiong only exam! This is my observation.
