Meaning the Sec 1 NA cohort next year has potentially 2 different certs.

If the Sec 1 Express cohort next year repeat their O Level, they will also have 2 different certs.

I just wrote a blog about PSLE COP (Cut-off-points), let's see the strategy works for PSEL COP 2022.

It will be soon to be our turn, ha ha.

            Not a big issue actually.

I have 2 separate O level certs because I took O level CL in 1993, then O level HCL + 7 other subjects in 1994. I believe all those kids on O level track in SAP schools still receive their certs this way today.

If the dates remain unchanged, then it looks like an end to the \"tradition\" of PSLE oral being on Thursdays & Fridays. Was wondering if 2022 was a one-off.

Wow they shorten the number of days to mark the scripts!

Wow, good spotting! 3 days is really strange. Arent there traditionally 4 days becos 1 day per subject?? If compress into 3 days wont there be more room for error (this year’s Maths marking already went haywire according to many parents).

Err... they don't mark 1 subject per day leh.

Typically, all marking and checking would have been completed on the 3rd day. The 4th day, not much activity (unless you count catching up with colleagues / friends from other schools as an activity). My guess is MOE just decided to use 3 days as it's a more accurate representation of the situation on the ground. It would also minimise the inconvenience of the marking centre (which is typically one of the schools).

This is because of higher productivity enabled by onscreen marking. According to SEAB, with this change, there will be no double marking of non-essay scripts while maintaining the quality assurance, resulting in reduced number of marking days. (Ref SEAB video below.)
