      Hi Kimkar / doodbug,

      For JC2, maximum -
students can only take one H3 subject, not two H3 subjects ?

2 H3s require MOE's approval. The school will shortlist and submit to MOE for approval. Even then, very very few get the approval. Different JCs have different requirements for consideration for 2 H3s - 4As at promos may or may not suffice. Most JCs I suspect, will not even nominate candidates for MOE's approval.

There are three types of H3s:

          a. University-taught H3 programmes (NUS, NTU and SMU)

          b. Extended, in-depth research (SRP, NRP, NTU-A*STAR-HCI and HSSR)

          c. MOE-CAMBRIDGE H3, taught in-house in schools

I was referring to c, i.e. MOE-Cambridge H3 for History or Literature - these are guided by JC teachers

HSSRP will belong to category b.
          How often,
do H3 students meet up with their local universities' Professors / JC2 subject Teachers ?

          Is it meet up discussion
          every week,
          twice per week,
          once a month,
          or once a Term ?

            Hi phtthp

Don't plan or worry too much about H3s - they aren't critical in any way at all. Students who are eligible to take will be informed by their school. Many students now actually prefer to spend the extra time to build portfolio in other ways, than to take H3s. By getting good grades for H2s proves your academic competence already.

I can only tell you about H3 Econs, which my daughter took. As it was a school-based H3 taught by school teachers, it was a class once a week, and an exam. I'm not very sure what they did in the class as I wasn't paying much attention.

I may not have a lot of info as my DD decided on it last minute after consulting with her subject teacher. I actually prefer she focuses on her 4 H2. All I know right now is, she has checked and gotten the green light on what she will be researching on. Next, she said she needs to provide an outline of her research paper to the subject head in February. She will need to complete the paper in June.

                        Is SEAB always correct?
Recently there was an error in the Chemistry A level paper…
                        Exactly !

This is a very good question, to ask

Refer to the recent event that happened at 2022 A level National exam, at RI vs. Nanyang Junior College.

                        NYJC stayed very alert !
Right at the very beginning, the Chemistry A level question error set by SEAB, was spotted ! All students sitting inside the exam hall, were quickly alerted.

                        RI ?
                        Students not alerted
