Anybody sent their helper to attend training conducted by Jaga-Me?

Anybody engaged the service from Jaga-Me?

For DIY renewal contracts, besides the 14 days of leave, do you include the airfare?
Hi, yes we compensate the airfare; as long as it's an extension of employment, & the helper does not return to the home country

Suppose the helper wants to return home for 14 days ie home leave. She will return to Spore thereafter.
Do we pay full for the return airfare? What other items need to be paid?
          Thank you.

Hi, if the helper returns home, we will pay for the full return airfare (I don't think we are given a choice to that?) & since it's an extension of employment, so she will also be compensated annual leave, then there's optional bonus; that's about it? Our helper did not return home, so we did not need to negotiate, but I'd imagine that we will negotiate to pay up the full sums only AFTER she really returns to singapore šŸ˜›

Noted; in your case, you will pay in full for return airfare. What about the 14 days of leave? Do you convert these 14 days into money and give the helper when she returns for home leave?

My concern is the airfares to Manila are pretty expensive now.

If the helper doesnt return home, I will pay 14 days of leave ie 14 days times her current pay per day plus a bonus etc.

Hi. Yes. So when her contract ends in say november, we compensate the full return airfare plus 2 weeks annual leave (old salary rate) plus bonus at That november pay cycle. We then don't owe each other anything, & she continues working the following day at a new basic salary etcetera. Also, we use websites like cheapflights.com.sg to illustrate to her how we derive the airfare amount. You can actually select off-peak airfares as compensation, then negotiate if she does not agree with the calculation

                  Tks for replying.
What if the helper returns? Besides paying all for her return airfare, are we still required to pay 2 wks annual at old salary rate, pls?
                  Tks

Good afternoon. So the helper will return to her home country for 2 weeks?, then that settles it (for example, on leave for 2 weeks in nov but will still receive full nov pay, no days deducted)

                      Tks again.
I think i got it now.

If helper returns home for 2 wks ie 14 days in Nov, as an employer, we will pay for her return airfares but no need to pay for the 14 days when she is at home country. She will still receive her Nov salary as if she is working in Spore.

Of course the simplest would be she isnt returning home. Then we will just convert her 14 days of leave as cash plus bonus.

                      Thank you.

Hi, still on this topic of FDW home leave .. can I plsvclarify ? Am a bit confused too.

                        SCENARIO 1

After 2 yr contract, FDW renews ctt & goes home for leave (2 weeks in Nov), then comes back to SG.

                        Assuming salary is $800.

                        Employer pays for :
                        1) 2-way airfare (market rate)
                        2) November salary in full as usual ($800)
                        3) Bonus - is this the norm? ( would appreciate any indication how much this is ? Half month bonus? 1 month bonus? )

                        SCENARIO 2
After 2 yr contract, FDW renews ctt.
but DOES NOT go home for home leave (2 weeks.
Continues working in SG during the 2 weeks.

                        Assuming salary is $800.

                        Employer pays for :
                        1) 2-way airfare in cash (market rate)
                        2) November salary in full as usual ($800)
                        3) Bonus - is this the norm?
                        4) Does employer need to pay an additional $400 (2 weeks salary in lieu of home leave, since fdw continued working in SG during home leave )?

Again, not sure if 4) is the norm, would appreciate any input .

                        Thanks again ! šŸ˜€
