Yes... I had a strong attachment to my St Andrew's primary school so I went to the secondary school. I wasn't so impressed with the secondary school experience so I went off to a JC where very few (about 5) of my classmates went to, instead of SAJC.
Sec 1 HCL is not easy at all - There is a minimum grade for promotion, and it will also affect your total average % which may affect streaming in Sec 2. Most importantly, he does not want to do HCL at all but he has a strong attachment to his school and wants to be back here. It's a boy thing maybe I don't know! Anyway after talking to the head, my boy likely would not be assigned HCL if he goes into CHS via affiliation AL12, so I have also cleared my concerns at my end. Also, he may not be going the JC route as well. Not looking at IP track at all.
Nothing wrong with kids not going to IP/JCs or university at all. As long as he is doing his best in whatever he is currently doing, and can thrive wherever he goes to, he will succeed in all that he aims for. And our role is not to bask in whatever glory he brings, but to understand and support him in whatever ways we can to bring him to that level. -

I wish to gather some opinions , what do you think the chance of getting into chs with AL 9M for O route based on non affiliate? Weighing it vs maris Stella where he is from to put the first choice. It seem that non affiliate is only 20% of the quota for O route which is very small. -
