UK A levels taken in the UK - definitely can return to SG Local Universities - even to Medicine.
      Is the person a Singaporean?

depends on the pre-requisite of degree course
some can start 2nd yr degree (usu the related coursed) ,some can only start with first yr

a fren son , was fr poly aero-engineer course, went to NTU 2nd yr - but find it v difficult to catch up in 2nd yr
this same fren daughter also fr poly accountancy, went ntu and chose start fr 1st yr , enjoying the course
I agree. While on paper and in theory, most local universities give up to (up to = key operative words) 1 year of credit exemptions for those with diploma qualifications in related fields, in actual practice, when it comes to actual module mapping, it's not always possible to map over an entire year's worth of credits. And many students prefer to \"repeat\" certain essential/foundational Year 1 modules to strengthen their understanding/skills, to cover all grounds, or to get used to university etc.

Mp, I just guess if want to apply to local U then the poly course must be a related course right?

I know of a good number of Singaporeans who have done UK A levels and have successfully enrolled in the local Singaporean universities.

I am not as clear about the case for non-Singaporeans.

To clarify, what I am less clear about the UK A Levels, is for Singaporean students who take UK A Levels as a private candidate in Singapore, applying to local universities. How are these applications considered? I do not personally know of anyone who has done that.

Thanks..got what you mean. That is for someone who has a lower chance to begin with.. that to me wouldn't make much difference I guess..the UK A should be able be used for overseas studies as backup yeah?

it really depends on pre-requisite of course . eg Engr dip may be able to apply comp sci courses in uni
Biz diploma can try accountancy degree , start fr Yr 1

UK A cant apply into sg universities.

should be v different, SG GCE A level is a killer
ds fren took UKA in msia, one yr later went to UK degree prog, just need money to send there, msian advantage ,
no need NS, choice not to take GCE A too
Our local uni (NUS + NTU) do accept students with UK-A level.

Only that we not sure what's the proportion of intake seats, by this group of applicants
