I think our govt did a gd job in preparing an ageing population.
For instance, seniors belonging to Pioneer or Merdeka Generations enjoy great discount when comes to medical expenses.
There are plenty of exercise/fittness equipment in neighbourhood for all to keep a healthy lifestyle.
More and more Senior Care Centres or Nursing Homes being set up to help families with seniors.
      etc
It’s very useful for sense of peace to hv available neighbourhood daycare corners for elderlies esp families with no other support for elderly whilst they’re at work. Abit aka childcare in the day.

        Kids go to childcare centres
Seniors go to senior care centres.

My dad goes to senior care centre once a week. He enjoys it because he can meet many seniors.

That’s what I encourage MIL to do. Currently she goes for exercises at CC & activities at church. She’s very happy to hv frds to chat rather stay home by herself. On days we date her, she just skip the sessions & resume. Hope she gets more active.

Same with my MIL. It is enforced physiotherapy for her 3x a week, sweetened by other activities with friends. If we ask her go park walk walk with us, never keen to exercise at all.

So agree. She’s always delighted to hv her lunch with kakis & show off her craftwork made for CNY & last year Mooncake festival

In 2018, costs of renting one room was $450

Today (2023), 5 years later from 2018, rental of one room costs $1200. Ridiculous !

Every landlord asking for sky high rent..expecting more money to drop from the sky. Only those rich ones and foreigners benefit the most
