In a similar vein, I suppose you could point us to somewhere that prevents new “affiliations” being created, as none have been added in decades.

I doubt the females of the new ACS Primary will have affiliation to a secondary school. Since the press release is silent on that.[/quote]
Now that you have mentioned it... I haven't seen anything that prevents 'affiliation' from being added / created. There are rules governing admission, religious education, teachers, assets / buildings etc but affiliation seems to be a grey area as there are no rules explicitly saying what the schools can / cannot do (thus, allowing schools to raise / lower the bar for affiliation).

I think female students of the new ACSP would be in a similar situation as the female students of DLS School or St. Anthony's Primary School where they don't enjoy any affiliation whereas the boys are affiliated to SJI and SPS.

Is there any act/law/policy prohibiting ACS Barker or ACS Independent from becoming a mixed school? hahahahahahaahhaah :rotflmao:

That's up to the School Management Committee to decide. If the SMC / Methodist community thinks that it is better off for ACSBR or ACSI to become a mixed school, there isn't any act / law / policy stopping them from doing so.

There are many 'recent' examples of single gender aided schools turning co-ed: DLS, St. Anthony Primary, Canossa Catholic Primary and Nan Chiau High School.

I am thinking of whether my grandchildren (DS is going to get marry end of this year) will be able to join the balloting by using my address because my house is so near to Tengah.

Is the ACS Tengah address out already ?

If Yes, check whether your house in Tengah is less than 1 km away, for Phase 2C balloting because now that Is co-ed, whether Is a grand son or grand-daughter, can also ballot for the chance.

For sure, your house in Tengah will rise In property value

Many kudos to ACS for the various announcements.

On affiliation, rough numbers not sure MGS O could accommodate all of its primary students and half of the students from another school (at least at the current AMR). But who knows and it is for others to decide…

While the schools are somewhat related, they are still different schools run by different management. I doubt MGS will find that sort of arrangement acceptable.

The most likely affiliation model would be similar to NYPS, DLS, St. Anthony Primary and Canossa Catholic Primary where affiliation only applies to the existing (original) gender to the previously affiliated school.

Not sure why MGS is being called out as the decision maker here, I certainly didn't say that.

Anyways, even if it (affiliation) was possible (desired and approved by all parties involved), it's not too hard to see whether the 80% cap would likely be an issue to deal with or at least think about.
