ACS (Primary) Tengah address is out already!
      ...
Well, it would reduce the morning jam around Barker road significantly, but it is in 2030 :slapshead:

As anticipated by some of the gurus...

        https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/parenting-education/askst-what-does-the-acs-primary-move-to-tengah-mean-for-students

Q: Will pupils from the relocated ACS Primary enjoy affiliation with the secondary schools in the ACS family?
A: Yes, they will. There is no change to the affiliation policies for now.

The girls in the co-ed ACS Primary in Tengah, however, will not get affiliation as ACS’ secondary schools are all-boys’ schools. They will also not get priority for admission to Methodist Girls’ School.

When do primary schools usually have their open houses? At the end of Term 2? Or during the March holidays? Asking for a friend.

Based on https://www.schoolbag.edu.sg/story/open-house-for-primary-schools-2022, typically from March onwards until June / July, i.e. just before the main phases of the P1 registration exercise are being carried out.

However, it should be noted that the MAJORITY of primary schools, especially those popular ones, do not hold open houses. Your friend may want to refer to the past list of schools that held open houses to have a feel whether the schools that he / she is looking at will likely be organising one.

                Note that

                Open house conducted,
is usually for non popular schools, to lure parents to enrol their kids into these schools.

For popular neighbourhood schools and for GEP schools,

                Eg

Nanyang, Henry Park, Rosyth, RGPS, St Hilda, Catholic High, Nan Hua, ACS, Ai Tong, St Nick, SCGS, MGS, Rulang, etc never see any Open house held so far because no need to. By end of Phase 2, some of them already full house, in balloting !

The 3 schools my friend is interested in all don't have dates next to their names in that list. So they probably won't have an open house? In which case, what is the best way for my friend to get a feel of the schools? The 3 schools are Qifa, Pei Tong and Clementi - all within 2 km of her home.

I have quite a few friends with kids in Qifa Primary. My impression is highly positive. The good kids are challenged, and stretched. The school seems fairly academic. It also seems to have a pretty diverse (racial, socioeconomic) student profile, which is nice.

Thanks. I just found some lists of 2022 stats, and it seems that about 72% who applied under 2C got in. For the other schools, it was 100%. So I guess she will get something near home.
