Thank you for your kind words and strong encouragement.
W/o your sharing, it will be very challenging for me to go thru this task.
      Thank you.

Helper did mention briefly that she has to pay $290 tax. I keep quiet bec am not going to pay this item.
We’re all doing our best as daughters, DIL, mother & wife. We need to outsource basic work to trusted help & yet not be fleeced when we hv to work to finance some of these domestic helper expenses (salary, levy, airfare, food, etc). So we’ve also to exercise wisdom how to attract our helpers to return & find value in their feelings of their work without panicking & rewarding them unnecessarily. How I wish our own eyers pay our taxes, but thankful govt help ease tax our obligations.
They’ll test u hor, see if u’re kind to pay that sum which they think Sporeans will find it small.

Good that we can help each other & share fair practices. I’m also learning coz I don’t hire helpers fr Philippines for various reasons. Maybe someday I’ve to, nobody knows.

I ever think of changing helper to save some cost but guess I wont hv the courage to take up this challenge.

I will move on; focus to earn more $$ to fund all these expenses.

As said, having a helper is a necessity and is no longer a luxury.

I’m sure u pay lower levy for yr helper as caregiver to elderly? FDW Levy Concession enables u to pay a lower concessionary FDW levy of $60 a month.

Did u get the Home Caregiving Grant (HCG) of $200 per mth?

In late Jan 2023, I signed up for a caregiver training organised by Jaga Me for my helper who looks after my dad.
I find the assigned nurse who came to my dad's home is professional and knowledgeable.

This Jaga-Me agency is also recommended by SASC which my dad attends his weekly session.

Another Agency to check out for Elderly care is CareLink, their nurses will train your helpers to look after your Elderly parents at home tailored to their specific needs. I find their cost to be reasonable and definitely better than those $15 courses that are being offered.
