Yes, i wanted to comment that but i edited..Pardon my ignorance, how to interpret the left side under Distinctions A1 & A2, does it mean 78 students score a total of 5 or 6 points for 2022 batch?

          That means 78 students scored combinations of 5s & 6s (A1 & A2). E.g.
          6A1, 5A1 & 2A2, 4A1 & 2A2, ……
          Or
          5A1, 4A1& 1A2, 3A1 & 2A2, ……

Thank you very much. So its a wild guess and does not denote how many actually scored 6 combined or lower.

The last table is the stat you looking for but it’s in 2021 though. You can wait for 2022 year book for the last O level performance

                2nd picture shown gives clarity.

1st picture doesn't disclose much, is as good as not giving any useful info at all, so vague

Is Chung Cheng consider better than Nan Chiau? Though both of them are similar, in terms of CCA Nan Chiau seems quite relax compare to Chung Cheng.

Best to go to each of their open house to see which fit the child better. For my child cases, after visiting both open house, they prefer CCHM, even NC is nearer to where we stay. Not only considering CCA, other factors like which environment the child feels more comfortable in and culture of both schools. There are different vibes even both are SAP schools. CCHM’s school compound has very strong Chinese culture influences. Talk to the students too, it can provide some sense of the products from the environment.

Nan Chiau O-level students are not affliated to any Junior College at all. In stark contrast, to both Chung Cheng (Main + Yishun) branches' students, who are affliated to Nanyang Junior College.

                      Answer -
                      Go Chung Cheng !

                      Why ?

                      Because

When u are a Sec 4 student preparing for O level, taking 8 or 9 or 10 Secondary school subjects -

having an affliation Junior College ready any time, helps to de-stress u mentally, greatly !

The moment u are affliated to a JC, straightaway, u have automatically secured 2 bonus points (affliation), inside your palm !

                      In contrast to -

If u are not an affliated student,
say, u studying in Nan Chiau,

want to go to Nanyang Junior College after your O-level,
what was 2022 last year L1R5 Cut off point (NYJC) cohort batch, born in 2006 ?

                      4 or 5 points, NETT (L1R5) ?

                        Hmm…
Both CCHM and NC are sap school with most students taking HCL that comes with 2 bonus point that can be used in any JC.

Both CCHM and NC are as good as “affiliated” with all JC. So NC does not lose out to CCHM in affiliation matter lah. And no such thing as combining both NYJC affiliation and HCL bonus points too
                        You mentioned that

\"NC does not lose out to CCHM in affliation matter lah ...\"

Let me ask u another question.

Does Nan Chiau High school ever imposed this strict minimum \"B3\" requirement grade for her O-level (pu hua),
                        before
her Sec 4 Higher Chinese students in NC are allowed to proceed, take O-level (gao hua) ?

Let's clarify the situation inside Nan Chiau, first.

                        Because

                        Situation (#1)

if Nan Chiau never imposed this type of minimum pu-hua (O-level) \"B3\" requirement,
                        then
                        Yes, correct -

NC does not lose out to CCH, in affliation matter.

                        ========================

                        But, if it is

                        Situation (#2)

if Nan Chiau Secondary Chinese department is strict,
does imposed upon this strict, minimum \"B3\" pu-hua (O level) grade attainment or achievement first,
before even allowing their Sec 4 HCL students to sit for their O-level (HCL) paper
                        then,

                        who will lose out ?

                        Answer -

will be those unfortunate Sec 3 Higher Chinese students inside Nan Chiau,
                        who had scored (B4, C5, C6, D7, E8, F9 ), in their pu-hua (O-level) paper.
                        Why ?

                        Because
                        means that

Nan Chiau High Chinese department forbid these unfortunate students, to take gao-hua (O-level) in Sec 4.
                        End up

these impacted, affected students lose out
clinching extra 2 bonus points in their L1R5,
because they are unable to clear their Higher Chinese,
by end of their Sec 4 education journey.

                        These students are sad
                        because

they have studied Higher Chinese for past 3 years so hard,
since Sec 1 to Sec 3 all the way,

                        yet

they still cannot clear HCL, by end of their Sec 4.

                        ===========================

Can any Nan Chiau High (parent or student) help to confirm / clarify,
                        is it

Situation #1 or Situation #2 happening now inside,

the Chinese Department (Nan Chiau) ?
