I do agree with you that it may be possible that their A level results are not good enough despite good intent

However, as a responsible educational institution that have one of the lower cutoff point, should they not be transparent to give minimally the mean and median so that aspiring students can make a informed judgement whther to enroll in the school ?
Maybe they think there is no rush to publish? 🤷

        Nah !

If u refer back to past years of history, ever see NYJC publish anything, on their A level results ?

        Nothing

        Every year, publish Nothing
        Every year, so secretive !

        Come on, bbbay.
Your son studying in Chung Cheng High ( Main ), because I see a lot of your comments inside CCHM thread.
His affliated JC therefore, is none other than this JC, called \"Nanyang\" JC. As his parent, we would assume that u know what's going on, in terms of publish or not publish impt A level info (results). So, how come u still want to tell all of us here,
        \"no rush to publish\" ?

          Exactly !

To be transparent, is to be honorable. NO need to hide.

          I respect National Junior College.
At least, NJC is still transparent, even though they are not within Top 5. This is the spirit (attitude) in JCs, that we are looking for.

What Is the sign of a great Leader, Nanyang JC ?

          Is one who
should not be afraid to take criticism, should not be afraid to be offended, no need to hide.

          Therefore,
          Nanyang Junior College,

Learn from National Junior College !

He/she may change to a new nick and come back again as a ‘fresh’ parent 😓

Even if come back with a new nick name, from the way one talk, u can still tell.

                  One good Example

.zeit is still the same person as another one, under another different nick name, previously

                  Another 2nd example ?

We all know who Yuppidiyupp is.
She is very active, under different nick name. Active particularly in Eunoia JC thread, as well as in this NYJC thread

                  Why ?

                  Because
You can keep changing to new nickname. But the inside of u, not so easy to change.

Just like one day, if I were to change to another new nickname, u all can tell readily that is the same old person. Why ? Because it is my old habit, like to write in detail. But that's me. I find it so hard to break this bad natural habit myself. For those who can't stand me writing this way, I seek your forgiveness.

Yes, u pointed this out correctly.

Last time, there is this person called \"Janet88\". She literally poured out everything about her family members one by one, about her husband, her son, her daughter until ... so many people know about her entire family nitty gritty details

Reading through all the comments in this thread so far, it seems most people in this thread engaging in petty comments who are most likely >30-year old are still stuck with the myopic high-school mentality.

Is there really a need to compare different school results? It’s common-sense that schools with better COP intake will have better A level results, like duh! There are some discrepancies, like value-added, but if you look across all the schools, statistically speaking it still follows the pattern of "better COP = better results". So let’s say if top schools like RI/HCI now take in YIJC students but keep the same teachers, you all think RI and HCI are going to retain their top 1-2 positions?

And what’s the point of arguing which school is better/transparent? That’s why some schools aren’t transparent, because why the need to be transparent? For parents/students to criticize the schools at any slightest faults parents/students can find if they are transparent? At the end of day, it all depends on how a student performs. There are always better students who chose not to enter top schools or value-added schools but are doing exceptionally well with straight As; likewise DSA students into top schools who perform as bad as majority of students in double-digit COP schools. Students who blame schools for their bad results? Stop harboring this defeatist attitude. Learn to take responsibility of your life and stop blaming the environment; it helps a long way in life.

Also, exam results and degrees are holy grail in life? Sure, these pieces of papers can open doors at certain stages of your life. How you make out during different stages of life matter the most. Those who are >30-year old, don’t tell me your A level results and degrees without work experiences matter to employers. You mean if you were to re-sit for your A levels, you can still achieve the same or better grades than what you did at 17-18-year old back then?
