I watched the interview by someone related from ACS which I cant remember who. But he said the old boys must be happy ACS turn co-ed because now they can put their daughters in ACS. I was thinking, wives no opinion? Sure will send daughter to ACS? Especially wives who were old girl of MGS/St nick/SCGS/nanyang? Want to give reasons also come up with a better one lah

The only people who will be interested and benefit from it are those without any ties with ACS and staying in Tengah.
Sending young children to 2 different schools in the morning traffic is not desirable. 5 days a week some more! I do think it is a valid reason.

Good point though, that those staying around and in Tengah do benefit from this. A good reason for new couples to explore living there.

I think Tengah is already very popular, even before the ACSP news is made known. HDB / government doesn't need the school to drive up the subscription rate for Tengah.

Project / Flat Type / No of Units / Number of Applicants

waste time, travelling + face traffic jam.

          Imagine.
You stay less than 1 km, from SCGS.

You have one son + one daughter. Daughter go SCGS primary in the city because Mother is Phase 2 SCGS Alumni,
          while
son go ACSP in Tengah because father is Phase 2 ACSP Alumni.

          What happen ?
Everyday, Mon to Fri, every Term 1 to Term 4, for 6 years from P1 to P6, in the morning, father/ mother drive kids, in two different direction. Troublesome ?

Wow, what a comprehensive list. Were you looking to buy around there? Those who bought must be rejoicing! (Going forward the buying audience will likely be targeting the GEP school.)

I think phttph is trying to say, for those staying within 1km of SCGS and daughters are with SCGS, it would be troublesome to send sons to ACSP Tengah. So ACSP should stay put at the current premises.

Therefore, If I stay within 1km of SCGS Pri, and my daughter is attending SCGS Pri, I will ballot for ACSJ or SJI Jnr instead of relocating to Tengah.

My friends whose sons are in ACS and daughters in MGS Pri/SCGS Pri/St Nic/NYPS etc., I do not hear them complain about it being troublesome to send their children to separate schools. Rather, they seem rather proud that their daughters study in the above mentioned schools.

Most importantly, MGS Pri/SCGS Pri/St Nic/NYPS girls enjoy affiliation to a good sec school. Whereas girls from ACSP Tengah enjoy nothing (not affiliated to MGS sec). So for parents who are alumni of these branded girls schools are not likely to send their daughters to a co-ed ACSP Tengah.

                    I wish I deal with properties 😂

I was just curious with a lot of assertions that ACSP is brought over to increase the demand / attractiveness of Tengah. Based on the limited data on the demand of Tengah BTO (available on HDB), I think people are going to pick Tengah with or without ACSP. While ACSP is likely to be a plus factor, I don't think Tengah needs ACSP.

Tengah new town is a SMART town. Just read that it will have roads underground and only walking and cycling on the ground level, more green space etc. Centralised system for air con and waste collection... One of the kind. Can read more abt it. Alr know of junior who has bought new bto there before the announcement of schools.
