      I think one of the reasons very few take 2 H3 is that the lessons were conducted after sch hours and in the case of my kid’s class, they were scheduled at the same timing. So I’m puzzled how those classmates who took 2 H3 manage to juggle their lessons. Reminds me of Hermoine Granger who split herself into 2 to simultaneously attend lessons. Lol

      And to do well for H3 is quite challenging since it’s way above H2 in terms of difficulty, according to my kid. So it’s not like one can miss a big chunk of lessons and expect to make it.
      It's difficult to do timetabling that satisfies everyone, and I guess schools can't achieve everything that students might want, especially if it's just 1-2 each year. And yes, on top of the already full JC timetable, most students would be wise to do only one or no H3s. It may be better (in terms of breadth) for students to do more in their CCAs instead rather than even more studying.

        Starting from next year 2024 onwards, that is,

        for students born in year 2007 onwards, currently belong to this year 2023 Sec 4 (O-level or IP) batch,

        1) No need to take 4 H2 A-level subjects anymore,
        because

        even if u continue to take 4 H2 subjects combination,

        for your lowest scored subject in the A-level National exam, they will just take it that this lowest scored subject is none other than your \"H1\" subject, automatically defined.

        2) \"Project Work\" is
        either a
        Pass or Fail.

          IP students born in year 2007, sitting for A-level in 2026,

          coming from

          IP (Catholic High / SCGS / St Nick) schools,
          can see

          how your 4th content subject is going to work out. The reply is given by a Junior College :-

            The JC1 students in 2024 (born in 2007)

            are still required to do a contrasting content subject.

            From 2026 onwards,

            only 3 H2 content-based subjects will count towards the University Admission Score (UAS), by default.

            The fourth content-based subject is included only, if it improves the UAS. If it doesn’t help to improve, then just ignore & discard.

            In Eunoia JC (2024),
            we will go through the computation of the UAS, with our JC1 students.

                For the new 2026 GCE "A" level maiden take-off flight pioneering batch,

                for admission into universities,
                starting from next year 2024 (JC 1) onwards,

                how to compute your 4th content subject ?

                Below is the reply (answer),
                received from a Junior College.

                =============================

                Suppose
                a student has taken 4H2 and gotten "AAAE" in 2026 results,
                with his GP (General Paper) grade, a weak "E" score.

                By the way,
                GP is compulsory.

                now, how to compute ?

                Firstly,
                calculate your best (or strongest) 3 H2 subjects, together with your GP score.

                That is,

                3H2 + GP = 20 x 3 subjects + 5
                = 65 points

                3H2 + GP + 4th content subject.
                Your worst H2 will be converted into H1.

                Therefore,
                [ (20 x 3 + 5 + 5) / 80 x 70] = 61.25

                In this case,
                u will then ignore the 4th content subject, since

                61.25 end up is far worse than your otiginal initial 65, illustrated.

                what happen ?

                Many students initially thought that by taking on a 4th content subject, is going to help them improve in their overall marks. But, in this example illustrated, on the contrary, taking on a 4th content subject, did NOT help this student at all.

                Perhaps,
                in another different example, it might help to improve.

                  From year 2026 onwards :-

                  Regarding how the UAS will be computed to 70 Rank Points –

                  I have appended the Grade points table the UAS infographic and computation example, for your detailed information.

                  Currently,
                  students in Eunoia JC will be required to take 4 content based subjects

                  (either 4 H2 or 3 H2 & 1 H1),
                  1 H1 General Paper,
                  1 Project work (Pass or Fail)
                  and
                  MT language (if necessary - depends if students took Higher Mother Tongue during O’Levels)

                  Computation

                  Example
                  ========

                  Rank Points = 4 H2 (your weakest H2 is calculated as 1 H1) + compulsory H1 GP, General Paper.

                  = [(20 + 20 + 20 + 10 + 10)/80] x 70

                  = 70, maximum

                  UAS Computation
                  ===============

                  Points, for A Level Grades

                  H2 Points vs. H1 Points
                  ======================

                  A : 20 vs. 10

                  B : 17.5 vs. 8.75

                  C : 15 vs. 7.5

                  D : 12.5 vs. 6.25

                  E : 10 vs. 5

                  ==============

                  S : 5 vs. 2.5

                  U : zero mark

                    To all Eunoia JC students -

                    whether this extra 4th content subject
                    can help you to improve

                    OR

                    may not even help u at all,

                    In your final, overall computation of "2026 maximum 70" UAS,

                    therefore,

                    DO choose your 4th content subject, wisely and carefully.

                      Wld like to check with current students, are all lectures pre recorded? Only tutorials are physical?

                      Will sch be going back to physical lecture eventually?

                        There are in-person lectures and recorded lectures, depending on the subject.

                        Recorded lectures are recorded not because of covid, they are recorded because those subjects do flipped classroom, hence I dont think they will be changing these lectures to in-person lectures.
