Example if you join by 30 Jun 2010, who know after 3 months you would get EM, e.g 30 Sep 2010 = getting letter. This is assuming the committee there are many people being stepped down.

Worst scenario is you should get EM status by 30 Jun 2011 where also would be able to get letter.

Anyway this is the only option left for those who wanted to try PV which is not successsful.

      WRONG!!!

One need to be a EM for ONE YEAR!!!! Meaning if you join RC for 2 years but was only a EM for 11 months, you will not qualitfy for Phase 2B. So it is CORRECT to say that it is too late to go by GRL route for child born in 2005 now.

If u qualify for Phase 2B, PA will automatically send u an e mail to ask if want to apply for Phase 2b. Once u express your interest, a letter will be prepared and they will inform u once it is ready for collection.

So, if don't attain EM status by end this month, means I no chance already? oh no.. 😢

Anyone here spent more than 7 months as an observer? Any idea what is the fastest way to become EM?

You can be honest with the chairperson of your RC. Be as active as possible and pls make a point to still contribute once u obtain your phase 2b privilege. If u read the letter issued, PA expects you to continue to support your RC and stay within the address registered under your RC.

Wow maybe now the system has changed, in the past if join by 30 Jun & within certain period get EM mean get letter for Phase 2B.

In this case, maybe now should target for those with kid born in 2006.

Ya, need to be EM for at least a year then they will issue letter for you to apply under phase 2B. However, if you fall short of a few weeks, I think no harm appealing to your MP.

What do you mean by \"confirming\" you? Are you only just becoming an EM? If so, you will not get your letter as you need to be an EM for more than a year.

But if you have indeed served more than a year as an EM, from what the other forumers have said, you will have to go to a PA web site to request for the letter. Have you been through that step?

If you want to check if you are confirmed as EM, go to http://app.grassrootsconnect.org.sg/default.asp and see if you could log on via your singpass.

We can log on this website before we got the official letter 2 weeks later.

If you have been appointed as a EM, you will receive an official letter from PA stating your effective start date.

Next, for the PA website, you are able to see your Grassroots Information under \"User Profile\" tab on
                        http://app.grassrootsconnect.org.sg/home.asp
