What do you mean by \"confirming\" you? Are you only just becoming an EM? If so, you will not get your letter as you need to be an EM for more than a year.

But if you have indeed served more than a year as an EM, from what the other forumers have said, you will have to go to a PA web site to request for the letter. Have you been through that step?

If you want to check if you are confirmed as EM, go to http://app.grassrootsconnect.org.sg/default.asp and see if you could log on via your singpass.


We can log on this website before we got the official letter 2 weeks later.

If you have been appointed as a EM, you will receive an official letter from PA stating your effective start date.


Next, for the PA website, you are able to see your Grassroots Information under \"User Profile\" tab on

Any difference in Committee Member and Executive Member of RC? Less chance if holding a position in Committee Member? My brother is a Committee Member but yet to receive any notification for Phase 2B for his daughter enrolling P1 this year. :?

MOE's web site states:

\"37.How do I qualify as an active community leader for registration at Phase 2B?
Current serving executive committee members of the Residents’ Committee (RC), Neighbourhood Committee (NC), Citizen’s Consultative Committee (CCC), Community Club Management Committee (CCMC) and the Community Development Council (CDC) are eligible to register their children under Phase 2B. \"

So as you can see, only executive members (EM) qualify. See some of the more recent posts in this discussion about how your brother can check if he's an EM and if he is, how he can request for the letter.

we are required to submit the letter at point of registration ie 1st choice of school.

Are we allow to take it back and withdraw from the registration and to move on to 2nd choice if we see the chances of getting our 1st choice is slim ?

Pls advise.

Not too sure about this. But if both the schools are within the GRC you have served, it should be ok. However, if the letter explicitly stated the specific school that you intend to register your child under Phase 2B, then it may not be possible.

Just a reminder if those who like to get into Phase 2B for child born in 2005, you must join the RC (Grassroot Leader) by 30 June 2010. This is for those who had been unsuccessful in the PV applications of your school.

So those parents not confirmed as EM by today... with child born in 2005... can don't waste time going by this route... if this is their main objective? If not volunteer 1 year of service later also no use...

Thanks Citigirl. I'm refering to confirmation of an EM, sad to say, till today (which is the last day) I still have not received the confirmation letter. My boy is born in yr 2005, this letter is meant for next year registration.
