Hi, have anyone send their children to infant swimming lesson before? Can recommend which school is better as I found a few online. Thanks!

Hi i intend to send my girl (15 months now) for infant swimming class too!
i found some website online too, but their group location too far away (queenstown). -
my kids' coach is an 'expert' on teaching kids/babies swimming; he is often invited overseas to give talks on this. He taught my husband when he was a kid
really good with kids, he takes the kids one- to one usually. can pm me if interested. -
Hi,
I have sent my son to swimming lessons since he was 6 months old. Actually in Australia in QLD not NSW they can start as early as 6 weeks old. My son's class is @ Turf City with Teacher Sam (his current teacher). He has a real connection with toddlers (my son is almost three). He can dog paddle from one end of the pool to the other and take breaths whilst he does it and of course swim under water with “pizzas” and kicks. I wouldn't call it swimming yet, but he can get himself out of trouble getting into and out of the swimming pool even when he jumps in at the deep end without any help.
We did one trial lesson with Aqua Ducks @ Suntec. They did not suit my sons, in terms of the teaching. That is not to say that they do not also do an excellent job. The teacher and my son didn't quiet click I guess.
We pay 275.00 for a term at Turf City @ Marsden Swim School. One thing to keep in mind. They follow the Australian AUSTSWIM program. So they will NOT be able to certify your child for the BRONZE and GOLD program as required in Singapore.
However if you are looking for a good dedicated teachers, I can recommend Marsden Swim School from personal experience with a small child.
As the focus of the swimming program is changing in Singapore I think though Marsden School not certified they are actually rather close with the AUSTSWIM program to the new requirements as posted by the Swimming Coach some weeks back.
They do have a number of locations:

Hi Okosbaba,
Thanks for the info. Turf City is too far for me as I’m staying in the east and don’t have a personal vehicle. -
I have found my swimming instructor from this website:

I live in Yishun and the nearest pool is at yishun swimming complex. my kids have been learning for about 6 months already and I think freddie's really patient with them since my boy was so afraid of water that he never lets water touch his face..
I just checked their website, and i see that they also do have the new programme recently on the newspaper? http://www.singaporeswimming.com/swimsafer I think. You can give them a try -
You can find a coach from http://www.singaporeswimming.com/ and they will get back to you.
I have found my coach from there too, and I think he's really good. I heard his father(also a coach) teaches in Sengkang swimming complex. You can give it a try..
