NUS YLL results are out including rejections. For boys, if they are rejected, I assume they can try again next year if they are serving NS now? Can they accept another course now to be matriculated later but still try again next year for medical?

Not sure if i saw correctly but on the NUS website seems like 30k is for undergraduate studies and 15k for graduate programs?
I am also confused. It's $15k or $30K. Below is an author who is a dentist, and he mentions that the course fee is about $28k, per yr.

Here is the link from NUS

You have to base the information from the NUS dentistry webpage and not to be confused by other sources. You have to find out when was the year the information was written by the author. Probably the information provided was not in the year 2022-2023 by the author. Also did the amount specified include the tuition grant portion or didn't. Whether the amount also include the additional cost of living allowances that inflated the total amount. I think it's rather naive to take the figures at face value.

The difference is that one is a Dentistry Bachelor Degree for Undergraduate. The other is meant for Post-graduate student who has already gotten a degree who wish to further pursue a second qualification in dentistry. So the tuition fee herein is a separate matter and not to be confused.

My Dd got an offer letter for her 2nd choice: Dentistry. Her first choice medicine for both NUS & NTU are under waitlist. How the waitlist goes for her now? Will NUS reject her medicine waitlist? Deadline to accept Dentistry is 24 May.

If you are matriculating this year, details of the admission update and procedures will be emailed to you around month of May.

The details will include the matriculation process, medical checkup, applying for your student network login, passport photos and obtaining your student matriculation card and ID number. Only after getting your login id and password then you can start to apply for your financial aids (e.g. TFL or bursary).

In the meantime start browsing and find out more about the bank loans, type of bursaries and external scholarship that your school provide as it may help you with decision making and preparation later.

Did anyone still remember from an earlier thread that someone mentioned that either you will be offered medicine or dentistry and not both? Well, it's possible to be offered both choices.

If you are being put on medicine waitlist from NUS and NTU, and being offered a second course on your option, please do an acceptance first to reserve the course - in case if not being offered after waitlist deadline.

Since the 2nd option being offered was from dentistry NUS, then if you are offered by NUS medicine after waitlist, you have to do an acceptance on the NUS portal and the other 2nd choice accepted earlier will be superseded. I believe an email will be sent to you explaining this.

As for NTU medicine waitlist - if you are being offered, just write an email to notify NUS admin that you would like to decline the dentistry course.

Likewise if NUS medicine didn't offer you the medicine after waitlist but NTU did, then do an acceptance for NTU and email NUS admin to decline your acceptance of the dentistry course.

Usually they will inform you the waitlist before the matriculation deadline so that enough time is given for you to do the acceptance and decision to decline.

Congratulations! for getting into dentistry and all the best for the medicine waitlist.
