My daughter got in to RVHS via DSA sports. Basically I feel that your son's academic result is more than sufficient to get in via DSA. It depends more on his sports performance and potential.

In short, like others have said, trial performance and interview are more important for sports DSA. Previous achievements in sports will only determine whether he gets a trial.

If he get pass the trial stage, during interview they will check on things like attitude and how they handle pressure. They even ask students to do a group presentation.

According to my daughter, some of her peers who received sports DSA CO, got a range of AL8 to 15 in their final PSLE result and some without HCL. So I think academic achievement is really less important for the school but nevertheless important for parents as we want them to cope academically as well.

Hi , can check since the report book already has participation in school games and won 1st tier, we won't be required to fill that in right? also any idea if edusave awards are not included in the report book, should we also state in the boxes provided? thank you!

Your child's primary school information will automatically be shared with the applied DSA-Sec school(s) except for School of the Arts and Singapore Sports School as both schools handle direct admission. This information includes your child's P5 and P6 academic results, and other information from P4 to P6, i.e. CCA, Values in Action involvement, School-based achievements/ awards such as Edusave awards, National School Games, Junior Sports Academy participation and National Physical Fitness Award results (only for sports talent) to the school(s) that you applied to. You do not need to key in this information.

You may provide information on non-school based activities and achievements, which are related to your child's chosen talent areas. This section is non-compulsory, with a limit of 10 entries and no supporting documents are needed.

Hi, hoping to check with someone here. Applying for Science Academic, any idea what we need to submit? Actually there is nothing to write about. They can access the school records. Wondering if there is any point in applying. She has indirect experience in participating Math Olympiad but applying for Science Academic. Would there be any point in putting that in?

Sports, it's the easiest domain to apply for.
Have, have. Don't have, don't have.

Daddy's KSP credentials count for zilch leh, but daddy is a huge influencer on YouTube with 10 followers. Maybe that one can?

Given that it’s free and not much effort needed (just login with SingPass), may as well apply and hope for the best (but expecting the worst) lor. At the end of the day, PSLE result is probably my kid’s only hope of getting into the school she wants.

Thought your child is in some niche sport so likelihood is everyone knows everybody so you should know your chance ya? Anyways if no chance why waste time hahaha 🤣
