I always admire you. You know very well that whenever I hv troubles, I will seek your advice. Thank you for helping me over the years.
I admire you just as well for your down-to-earth & resourcefulness too. Hearing all yr travel descriptions, I’ve enjoyed reading yr independence of spirit esp thro yr self tour in New Zealand with your family & then yr recent Japan trip. We visited NZ as my honeymoon holiday but it was part boring due to the long trip & we wished we had driven.

I hv my own shortcomings too, one of which is being too detailed. Can be a pain right? :siam: So I learn to abstain fr chatting s’times. Just exercising some self-control. Then s’times can’t help being chatty. 😂

we can be influenced by pple's words and actions despite we know it is none of our business.
                This is human nature ...

One thing I think I have learned over the time..is to get 'detached'. I m still learning but not bad already. Late last year, I still got emotional when talking about something with dh. Then dh told me these are not my problems and that my senses is everywhere and I really need to collect it all back. I agree.

Thanks! Will check out your recommendations. When I take classes, I seldom show up in class 😂 I do my reading separately. Just that I find it more effective than spending a couple of hours listening to a droning voice.
The Alpha course is not about acquiring info - that, I agree, some people are well able to read up for themselves (I'm one of them). The Alpha course is more about providing a space to ask questions, so there is a short video and there are facilitators, but it's mostly Q&A. Each Alpha course is usually just a few weeks' long, though some participants will then join a group that meets weekly for fellowship after that. Your friend who has been in Alpha for 10 years is probably a facilitator, not a permanent participant!

As Esteema explained, Alpha was first started in the UK by the Anglican church, but churches of many denominations also use their materials (regularly updated) and format now - to add to the list, my church is Baptist!

Thank you for your love & encouragement. I’m the sort who don’t wish to 得罪 others and if someone feels sad, I feel bad & wish to reach out. So It’s just me. S’times I don’t know what to do when I get misu’stood. I’m still learning in the dept of human interactions.
