      Children:
Hi Mummy MMM in particular & also other parents whose children have been to Kinderland program from K1 to K2,

I would like to find out more about

      1) the Write to Read Reading Program at Kinderland.
Is it effective in enabling the child to read?
When does the program starts? from K1 onwards?
Are children who have been on this WTR program, able to read independently once they reach middle of K2 or earlier?
If yes, could you define the level of reading literacy. ie. able to read certain series of books (eg. peter & jane) at what level (eg. level 1, 2, etc).
It is probably unfair for me to comment on this program. This is because for my K1, she has already been taking phonics enrichment lesson since nursery. She is also attending classes at LW. So she is able to read some sight words and make use of phonics for decoding.

I can probably comment on my P3 who went through this and had minimal enrichment lessons until K2. Just relying on WTR alone is insufficient to ensure the child gains literacy skills. There are alot of work that needs to be done by the parents to ensure the child is able to read independently. Eg. parents reading to the child on a regular basis,etc...

Can only comment for MP and Upper Serangoon, they do have their own computer lab. But observed that there are more computers in MP as they probably have a bigger place.

I am wondering if any parents here can provide me comments about Kinderland at Woodlands Civic Centre? I am intending to enrol my child to pre nusery next year. But would like to get some feedback about their programme and the teachers there, as till now my son have not attended any courses and I am quite afraid that he ll not enjoy them and have bad experience about school

            Thank you

                    tilinday:
Hello! I'm quite new to this forum. My child has recently started preschool at Kinderland Sunshine Place and I would like to find out if any other parents are in the same boat as us.

I have read some feedback on Kinderland SP at other posts but they are quite short and not really helpful.

As I am a FWTM, I'm not really hands-on and don't have much time to visit the school and talk to the teachers myself. Thus would appreciate any additional info. To put things into better perspective, my child has some speech delay and so if I try to ask him how his day went at school, I can't get much from him. Furthermore, he's still learning basic life skills such as eating by himself and going to the potty, so he still wears nappies to preschool. I'd like to know if any parents here have any comments on their teachers and any experience on how your kids were handled by them.

                    Thanks much!
                    Hi,

My girl is in K1 this yr @ Kinderland sunshine place.

Was there since N1 & N2. Intially was ok but now i find that she is not prgressing well. Alot of kids from my girl's batch left after N2 & alot of good teachers left too around late last yr - early this yr. So the current teachers are either new or the not so good one.. think left only one good teacher which is Mrs Goh...

Spoken to some parents and realise most of us think the sch is too commercial, esp the Principal. Kinderland teaching system is well-known but this sch is a franshise or some say kinderland license sold to them... not very sure on this... so i think their standard is lower than those main kinderland branches..

I'm looking into withdrawing from this sch even my girl is already K2 next yr and is her last yr. For you i think if your kid is still young, so u can re-consider..

my nephew is at Kinderland Sunshine place and i heard that he is learning very well. his mommy is in the parents' support group so she knows how children learn in field trips etc.. you can consider joining the PSG or udnerstand more from the teachers and principals, im sure there is a certain standard to upkeep...
