My girl would like to apply under 2 domains for same school. I understand only 1 CO will be offered if successful. However, would she be given the chance to go for trial selection/ written tests for both domains ( if shortlisted) ? Thank u!!

provided u are short-listed, for both domain, applied for.

If u are short listed for only one single domain, not both,
then

u attend all the tests involved, for that short-listed domain only.

Whether u can be short-listed or not, that will depend on how strong your other P6 opponents or rivals are, for the same domain applied for.

I don't have experience on leadership but just based on what i heard from friends who applied via leadership. I know of kids who are head prefects and exco members, scoring AL5-6 but they were not selected for interview for the top tier IP schools (R and H schools).. so i think the competition is very stiff, since there's so many potential candidates. You will need to showcase a lot more for leadership, on top of their usual leadership duties. However one of them managed to get a CO another dual track IP boys school. So it really depends on which schools are you are targeting and the profiles of the candidates that applied ie the competition. You can browse through past DSA threads and read up on those successful COs for leadership to get an idea, their profiles were VERY impressive.

I personally like the part where 4 generations of students shared their experiences of RI spirits. Especially the 1st one (scroll forward to 2:26) from class of 1954. He revealed how RI selected it students back then when there wasn’t a national PSLE exam.

This is so true. It's important for the students who are going to such prestigious school to remind themselves not to keep comparing themselves with others, instead, focus on their own improvement and make the best out of his/her time there. Interesting views. However, all schools cannot cater to all students.

A possibility is to exclude exotic themes in DSA which are available only in some schools/available to parents who can spend money. How many people have access to canoeing, gymnastics, squash etc.
