I'm old boy of ACSS, yet my son doesn't get priority registration for ACPS nor ACJS. So, sorry to say, no priority at all for your girl.

I just want to give you my experience for \"community service\". I have serviced for \"community service\" more than two years, to ensure I can get my child without the stressful balloting, but I got the worst news yesterday, The chairman of RC smiled to tell me that I was only \"obsever\" in past two years, not really member, depend on PA policy, he cannot issue any letter to me into 2B of Registration. He just can issue the letter for member who have serviced the RC more than two years. You knew, I attended almost events in past two years, twice monthly. I spent too much time in past two years but nothing repay. :stupid:

i am sorry you feel disappointed, but its quite clear on the MoE guidelines that to get this priority registration a person has to be serving as an Executive Committee member at the time of application. As an observer, your RC Chairman is absolutely correct that you do not have the required pre-requisites for the letter. Bear in mind, this is a benefit offered by the PA, not a right.

Oh no.. I know you must be so mad now... I do not mean to rub salt into wound but as quoted by citygal from the MOE's website:

Current serving executive committee members of the Residents’ Committee (RC), Neighbourhood Committee (NC), Citizen’s Consultative Committee (CCC), Community Club Management Committee (CCMC) and the Community Development Council (CDC) are eligible to register their children under Phase 2B. \"

Of course, I am members now, but the chairman told me only can issue the letter for the member who have serviced more than two years, means, I must service more than 4 years(two years of obsever and two years of member) if i want to got the letter, currently I only have 1 month, very disappoint, why didn’t tell me when I join RC?

Did you mention to the Chairman from the very beginning that your intention was to get recommendation for P1 registration?
