Hi, after getting a grade 8 ABRSM piano and A level, what’s possible route for a child who wants to pursue music related studies? Any bachelor degree to look at and consider? Thank you!
That will depend on your child's playing level.

The three main colleges offering bachelor degrees in Singapore are Yong Siew Toh, NAFA, and Lasalle.

Yong Siew Toh requires a high level of proficiency in piano playing of at least LRSM/LTCL level at point of entry, not to mention a significant performing experience. So probably out of consideration.

NAFA and Lasalle do accept Grade 8 ABRSM piano holders with potential. But I do recommend to enter this with standard comfortably at first level diploma like ATCL or ARSM to ensure a more positive learning experience.

VirtuoPiano is a teacher collective offering teaching matching and concert management service.

Our teachers are all full-time trained in tertiary music institutions with a minimum of full-time Diploma. We are mostly pianists but also have teachers for other instruments like violin, viola, cello, singing, and other instruments.

Depends on the qualification and the track record of your teacher, and also if you would like the teacher to travel to your place. You would be looking at anywhere from $70 to $120 per hour.

Just to recommend to all North Eastie, my child is with a piano teacher named Vivian. She is a certified piano teacher with experience teaching at Sonare, Yamaha, Cristofori before venturing out to teach one to one, and has been teaching since 2010s.

My child has a great experience learning from her, as she is engaging, and is able to coach my kid well. Also prep my kid well for ABRSM exam. Being a good teacher, I thought about paying forward, and shouting out here for anyone interested. If i m not wrong she teaches up to ABRSM Grade 8.

                  Do contact her for a trial lesson @ 9 3 2 6 9 6 9 Five

Which piano would you choose for a complete beginner?
