    • RE: All About Choosing Piano Schools And Teachers

Just to recommend to all North Eastie, my child is with a piano teacher named Vivian. She is a certified piano teacher with experience teaching at Sonare, Yamaha, Cristofori before venturing out to teach one to one, and has been teaching since 2010s.

My child has a great experience learning from her, as she is engaging, and is able to coach my kid well. Also prep my kid well for ABRSM exam. Being a good teacher, I thought about paying forward, and shouting out here for anyone interested. If i m not wrong she teaches up to ABRSM Grade 8.

      Do contact her for a trial lesson @ 9 3 2 6 9 6 9 Five

    • RE: Urgently looking for Higher Chinese Tutor in SengKang Area

Hi @JanineTohWW, looks like we have the same chinese tutor! Yes I have only good words for Teacher Jenny who is experienced enough to help my kid develop the confidence in the subject. I think it is important especially from young age that confidence is built in a subject. My kid had problems at a tuition center where the peers are ahead of him in reading and spelling. With a 1 to 1 good tutor like Teacher Jenny, he was able to focus and regain his confidence in the subject. With that this helps in performing well during his class tests. Now he even speaks Chinese at home with us and even his friends too!.

From this experience, realized that it is important for you to know what environment your child fares best in and choose the right tutor/tuition center for the subject.

    • RE: P1 Tution -- Necessary?

For me i think p1 tuition is absolutely necessary especially for languages. Through my experience with my kid who started chinese tuition late, he really struggled a lot when going to p3 as he continues to have issue recognizing chinese words. Ends up he had to spend the year end holidays to revise and catch up with previous level syllabus so as he can have a better grasp of the language.
