Nope it depends on the sch and the domain that you are applying.. like leadership some schs only have 1 round while some have 2 rounds so hard to say.

I’m not surprised because WL is never a reliable option in any case. If the school really wants me, it would have offered me a CO. A WL to the school is like “good to have”, but not “absolutely must have”, so I don’t think the school is so worried about the vacancies. Anyway number of vacancies is more or less depends on the school itself. It cannot be more than x% but totally normal if it’s below.
Agree. I think this makes sense. It also means that the school may not get the max number of students intended for DSA, but I think schools are fully aware of this. They still can get prospective students coming in via PSLE score.
That’s why WL is risky because it depends on other factors, not only the vacancies. -

This qns was asked by all the 3 school during the 2nd DSA interview, they even asked which school have shortlisted them. From my understanding, this is for the school to decide if they should put the child under CO or WL; they would probably allocate the CO to the child whom meet their criteria & they deemed will likely choose their school if CO is given.
Why do the interviewers always ask about the other schools the child has also applied to? Would that affect the chances of getting a CO from that particular school? -

I rather think that schools will decide whether or not to issue an additional WL based on your responses.

For example, if you perform very well in an interview with School A, and are also shortlisted by School B, then School A may consider offering you a CO while also issuing a WL to someone else, in case you ultimately choose School B. -

I hope all the children can get into the ideal school. -
I see. Does that mean CO is more likely to be given if the school knows the child is shortlisted by another school than a child who listed the said school as first choice?

Genuinely hope this is the case.

In the first place, do schools know if the child has applied to other schools and only asking to reaffirm the kids' honesty as part of character evaluation? If not, are they asking to evaluate the \"risk\" of offering the CO/WL.
If it's the former, all is fair. But if it's the latter then it's alittle unfair imo.
