Hi, may i know how many JC can student submit to apply for DSA-JC?
You can apply DSA to different JCs.
      However,
      the issue is,
if u are short listed for interview, sometimes it may clash into your Prelim, in August. Time management, is crucial.
You want to study for Prelim,
      OR

you want to attend interview ?
In view of this, u may decide carefully, depending on how u manage your time.

      =========================

In some JCs, they have two phases of DSA application time window. So if u apply very early, say, sometime in May, then your interview won't clash into \"Prelim\".

But, if u apply late only in Phase 2, then, definitely interview conducted will clash into your Prelim period, commencing in August.

Anyone has any experience on DSA process for Basketball?

While the child might be a good player, he/she may not have supporting certificates since his school never won any Interschool comp...

So do they invite all applicants for trials and then decide or they shortlist for trials based on certificates and achievments?
When u apply for DSA (Basketball) online that time, there is a section inside the online Application form itself, where the A level Junior Colleges asked u to:-

provide information, about your relevant Cca participation and achievements, while in Secondary school.

So, this is the time where u \"market\" yourself, sell your basketball skills. So, if you are short listed, based on what you have written & submitted, then the Coach will assess u.

        Note
        Different JCs :-

the number of vacancies available for Basketball, may differ.
Some have more vacancies, while other JCs may have fewer vacancies.
        Because

in some popular JCs, the Basketball Coach may already have targeted somebody inside their mind.

Also to add, depends on which JC u apply. Most affiliated JCs would have their list of players fed from the sec sch .

Do the JCs usually reveal their DSA quota for each domain at their open houses in January?

                  single digit

Single digit is good enough, as most outstanding kids are already in the IP/IB programme and unlikely to DSA.
Do you have an idea if itโ€™s below or above, say 5?
My child is considering DSA Leadership to RI Y5.
                      Thank you!

Hearsay DSA leadership for Y5 to any top JC is 1-2 vacancies only.

Would appreciate if anyone can confirm/debunk.
