Dunman High Chinese orchestra having second round interviews next Wed.

Anyone know if it’s 1-on-1 or group? Thanks
2nd round (Dunman High) Chinese Orchestra interview -

Short-listed invited candidates will be sitting outside the interview room, awaiting for your turn to be called into the interview room, one by one.
So, the interview style (format) conducted is \"one to a few interviewers, present\".

Once your name is called, enter the room, greet the panel of interviewers.

        - If the interviewer pose u a question in Mandarin, then reply back in Mandarin. Otherwise, reply in English. If interviewer pose u questions in Mandarin, is just to test
        your proficiency level in Chinese,
        because

Dunman High is a SAP school, after all.

Once your interview is over, exit the room politely, after thanking the interviewers. The next candidate's name, will then be called out.

            Yes, of course

End of Sec 2 students, who can't cope with IP programme inside Dunman High, will be \"shifted out\" by the Sec 2 Form Teachers, go and join the Sec 3 O-level class, to prepare to take GCE \"O\" level.

When does this \"sifting\", takes place?

At the end of Sec 2

Hence, if your child wants to study IP, Dunman High is considered safe,
            because

there is an automatic built in mechanism to \"catch\" your child, and stream-line the student back to the proper path,
ie. Back to the O level,

should the student tried out 2 years of IP and realized that it didn't work out for him / her, in the end.

              Hi thanks for prompt reply.

Just to clarify, DHS does not offer O level route from Sec 1 right?

Dunman High, is an IP school.

Answer is : of course not !

How can an IP school kick start a student onto the O level track, without letting students try out IP programme in Sec 1, when Dunman High is an IP school ?

                By the way,
If you are looking for an O level Secondary school, which u feel more comfortable with, there Is another school called \"Dunman Secondary School\", bearing the same name \"Dunman\". You can try applying for that school, if u are keen in looking to start Sec 1 (O level programme). Or any other Secondary school in the east,
                like

TKSS (Tanjong Katong Sec school) or Anglican High, if u are staying east.

If your child is not been \"sifted\" out, he or she won't know the existence of this class. Your child can go and ask his or her Seniors, or clarify with his or her class Form Teacher or Vice Principal (Academic) whether -

in the past : got such a class, exist or not ?

Hi my child is studying in DHS sec 2. And she is not aware of O level class in sec 3.
Good day. My son is currently in sec 4 DHS.
FYI DHS used to offer olevel for students who could not cope with the IP pace. However they had abolished such system.

If a child is not able to meet GPA 2.4 (must pass English too) or fails / never do well on certain subject, student would have to go for retest. If they never achieve a certain grading or mark (I am unsure about the details) , student has to repeat. My son took a retest cause he did badly in year 3 GPA about 2.5 and failed both Maths & physic + a boarder passed in chemistry. He did a retested for Both maths + chem and achieved A* for all. And he was advanced to sec 4. One of his friend did not achieved school requirement and had to repeat Y3.

Sad to say, one of his year 4 friend would have to go to poly after completing Year 4 (this year) as he is not able to cope well with IP program.

dHS is really a good school. Teachers r caring n diligent. However not all kids r able to cope with the stress. The tension would be more when kids r in senior high (year5) . jC is really 没天没地的在读书 as kids r trying to achieve a better grade for their A levels.

My elder is taking psle this year. I feel that his result should be able to get into DHS. But I would not apply any IP school for him. Just let him go to a better neighbhood secondary school. I don think he could be able to cope with the stress , workload and projects. I will let him go to JC by taking olevels. Maybe he would prefer to go poly. I let him decide after his olevels.
